      Just because your religion says it’s fine doesn’t mean the science doesn’t add up

      @@Vultus873Science says that it’s perfectly ok to marry a second cousin. That’s distant enough where there won’t be any issues. Even marrying a first cousin is ok if it’s a one off thing. The issue is if it’s repeated generation after generation . Check your facts. Sure morally it may be weird and wrong but let’s be honest. If you marry your second cousin, you won’t have deformed kids. The risk of that is 2-3% with strangers and 3.5% with second cousins . Extremely low

      @@Vultus873 okay? The fact still stands that if it’s not, you’re at low risk of having kids with birth defects. And if it’s your second cousin, the risk is even lower, even if your parents/grandparents are first cousins, because you’re barely related to your second cousin.
