    "How do these positions address the major issues facing Australia?"
    "They don't."
    "Correct."
    On point, as always.

    The Honourable John Clark minister for incompetence and in-continence. Still better than 99% of Australian politicians. And a funny bugger to boot.

    So the election campaign ran for "nine years". Not only was Mr John Clarke a comedy great, it seems that he was a political Nostradamus as well. He and Bryan Dawe are much missed from our screens

    A touch of class these two gentlemen in an otherwise very ragged and tawdry political arena.

      It is messed up, but nowhere is as fucked up as the US. Australia was trying to catch up mind you; then boom the Yanks play their Trump card and take fucked upness to levels a misbegotten love child of George W. Bush and Tony Abbott could not even dare to dream of in their most diabolically imbecilic reveries. Umerica. #1.

      Just about. Although we don't have Trump running here, so that's good news for us. :)
      I do feel sorry for my friends in the States.

    • @jeremyvassallo3914
      @jeremyvassallo3914 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +TheOneWhoMightBe our electoral system is far better, harder to disenfranchise people, less power in the executive etc, so I would say we are safe for quite some time.

    I love these, but I feel like the gameshow format is starting to get a bit tired. I love the ones where you satirize an executive or economic adviser while still being informative with fast-paced dialogue. Just my two cents, you guys are obviously still hilarious.

      CORRECT!

    • @jonathanlee9786
      @jonathanlee9786 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm afraid that Australians still haven't adapted to the concept that inflation eroded the purchasing power of the two cent piece - that iis why they no longer exist. Treasury and the Reserve Bank claim they were withdrawn from circulation. Be afraid. No figure of speech is safe anymore.

    • @MadMikeAU
      @MadMikeAU 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      1c and 2c have been removed from circulation and are no longer legal tender. This was done by Keating so that there would be less Aussie dollars in circulation, therefore it is worth more (because there is less of it).

    • @OriginalPiMan
      @OriginalPiMan 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jumping on something old here, but no, MadMikeAU.
      The 1c and 2c coins are still legal tender, they just aren't minted anymore. They also did not make up a meaningful fraction of the currency in circulation before they stopped being minted.
      I've only got vague ideas as to why, but the Australian government generally doesn't remove anything from being legal tender, regardless of how long ago it was minted or printed. Even Australian Pounds are still legal tender.
