I've seen Bruce 8 times on his current tour and although he has primarily been playing his older material, he has played this song at almost every show.
I've seen 2 shows and I was thinking this would be a "bathroom break" song on the setlist. How wrong was was I. Just mesmerising. And also fun at times. Him and Curtis.

Bruce said he wanted to do an album that he didn’t have to write or play. He just wanted to sing…. This album “ Only The Strong Survive” is all Motown, Stax records. It’s fantastic!!
Dear Harry! From your first reaction now some years ago, I knew you were a good person with heart and you can show how you feel. Allthough I liked always the original song, this performance by Bruce is still something. Bruce has always ment what he had sung. THX Harry!!!
My Hometown Giant sounds sooo Great!!! He can sing Classics like this, and put his cool Jersey Shore spin on it. I'm a huge Fan, ever since I heard "Hungry Heart"! Excellent Songwriter!!!!

A great tune, saluting Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson, Bruce's vocals are brilliant and filled with emotional sensitivity on this great rendition. Thank you Harri, other people have already mentioned it but this is from an album full of nothing but soul classics. In fact it's his last studio album. The man is one of the most soulful voices in rock. Of course the original is still the best but this comes in a close second.
