Dont worry about doing the live version for part 2 (watch the lyric version yourself) he released part 2 during covid when UK was on lockdown so it just wasn't possible to have him and his friends come together to make a full live version as they normally would, the beach one was a sort of preview to try promote the full lyric video as I understand.

there is no greater storytelling than Ren's "The Tale of Jenny and Skreetch" full version. It is truly Shakesperean in it's lyrics, visuals and scope. Absolutely tragic and epic. In my almost 60 years I don't think I've ever heard/seen anything quite like it

Isaac, I just listened to your take on the Money Game trilogy, and @blairkimberlin3447 above suggested what I wanted to say. You must, must do the Jenny and Screech (and Violet) trilogy: "the Tales." It is dark, tragic, and absolutely brilliant in the storytelling (Shakespearean in theme and scope.) Can't say it will make you happy, but it will make you glad you delved more into his work. Do I like everything he does and says? Like you, no. But his brilliance with words, music, and concept is undeniable. And btw, I tried to find you on Discord and couldn't. What's your handle there?

Ren's live performance video's are just that live! You can always count on Ren's live video to be true to form including MG3, which many reactors believe entirely that it was studio vocals layered over the natural ambient noise of the room giving it the feel of a live performance, but that couldn't be further from the truth. You can watch the BTS making of MG3 if you have any doubts, plus if you play that track from the Sick Boi album you'll notice that the song is at a quicker tempo and has no dramatic pauses within the song unlike this visual presentation. Great reaction, thank you. Ren's careless handling of the gun is on purpose to create that tension. Also yes he is the one playing the piano at the beginning. He also composed the whole thing except ironically for the part he plays at the very beginning that sounds classical. As you spotted MG3 is also live, however they had to put in a cut at the wheelchair scene to protect the mic from the rain scene plus be able to set up the quartet too.
A word of advice if you plan on reacting to more Ren... please do not talk over the video/music. If you want to say anything, please pause and rewind a few seconds afterwards. Unlike other artists where it might not matter, Ren's music is densely packed with many details which you will inevitably miss and will frustrate the heck out of us 😅 This is especially important if you listen to The Tales of Jenny and Screech trilogy. There is a lot packed in there and you will miss the meaning of the ending if you don't listen with care. But make sure you listen to us and watch the Full Version of the tales as they must be seen in order: Jenny, Screech and Violet.
You may also wish to watch the documentary made of MG3 to give you an idea of how this video was pulled off.

Yeah, he strikes me as an extreme perfectionist. In my mind, he doesn't just make music, he creates intricate, multi layered experiences. Ren cuts all of the fat from the bone. Every detail is weighed, measured, and intentional, as far as I can tell.
Ren is more intelligent than I am, so if I were to spot something "careless", my first thought would be that I missed something or didn't understand his intent.

Agree completely, it’s ironic the amount of the message is lost on this guy. Feeding into the narrative of illegal immigration being a bigger issue than anything else. Basically dismissing the issues and negatives of capitalism and excessive greed. A really simplistic overview that feeds into an ongoing narrative that even when an alternative message smacks you in the face the way that Ren delivers, we can still pick out points that reverberates inside our own echo chamber

This is a very long over 2 hr watch, however at 2:05:30 through to 2:10:00 you will hear and see Ren sitting at that piano winding down playing a beautiful piece and then describing to Wolf how he is self taught and then a conversation with the second Pianist: Charlie Woof-Bryne about the performance. Unless we learn to reform our nature and set aside greed for a care for all of humanity and the environment. Our story will be broken limited versions of “Jimmy”. Ren doesn’t lip sync, especially the rap. He does when the shoot is completed then run the audio track through Logic Pro, because he needs to balance the vocals and instruments. For this he has to adjust it for each line because compression tools can’t do the job. This is definitely live and it’s mind blowing. The time spent in choreography and rehearsal is enormous to make a one-take, or even a few takes video. I mean, even ONE SCENE in a movie takes days of rehearsal and careful human and camera choreography to get right. A 30 second commercial can easily include 50 cuts and a full day of shooting. That’s the trade off. Days spent shooting and then editing or days spend blocking and then rehearsing. Reshooting in its entirely, rather than scene by scene, until the whole thing is RIGHT.
The only compromise I see here is that the camera is mostly locked off, so one element is less daunting, but still…this is a massive undertaking. So impressive. I often wonder if these one-take endeavors are even worth it, since the only people who notice are kind of movie geeks or production professionals. I don’t think the average viewer even notices, let alone appreciates the mountain of work and skill that’s involved. Think about how many people just didn’t appreciate the effort in the film “Les Miserables”. They may not like musicals or may have found it boring, I don’t know; I loved it. But most people didn’t notice that it was all sung LIVE and that that alone was unprecedented in movie musicals. Since then, there was the opening scene of “La La Land” which was also under appreciated…I’m rambling. This is a brilliant piece of work. That is all.

He did play the piano a piece he based on music by Grieg, the music the string quartet played he reworked from the music from the other Money Games and it's all live. Yes it was a real gun and ammunition but some one out of shot swapped the magazines, Ren insists on authenticity. There are a number of behind the scenes videos you might find interesting.

Not many reactors have mentioned the bad gun practice. Yes, it was a decommissioned .45
All one take, with the one cut. If you are interested, Wolf Johnson has made a short and a long video on the making of this. He flew to the UK to document the whole filming process.
It is interesting to hear there are still people who find it hard to understand Ren does his one shots etc, live. He and the team he has gathered put a lot of effort into making these as an artform. They pride themselves on not following the current trend of producing fake and unnaturally perfect performances as much of the music industry does now days.
If you really want to understand where he is coming from, just consume more of his work. It ranges from Dark, to emotional, to catchy and cheeky and anything and everything in between. Ren has some wonderful collaborations with artists like Sam Tompkins, Chinchilla, Victus, Eden Nash, Liv Sangster and a whole heap more. He was in a band called the Big Push also. If you are at all curious, you will look them up as well. I have never heard anyone regret having done so.

12:10 really though capitalism only provides equal opportunity when its REGULATED: I.e. anti monopoly laws, consumer protection laws, etc etc. Those are policies that are fundamentally more SOCIALIST than CAPITALIST policies.
Capitalism at its heart is "money first, for yourself", which really means "money for those who already HAVE money" (a vast swath of the billionaires alive today were born into wealth). In order to maintain high levels of wealth, you're fundamentally going to want to deprive others of the opportunity to really gain anything substantial themselves, which in turn means monopolisation and rampant privatisation that hinder fundamental services like healthcare or even prison systems (you can read about how private prisons make profit off their inmates, and how they incentivise putting more and more people, often minority groups, into jail).
Capitalism is not the better evil, a mixed system combining the strengths of each is.

Also, re 8:26 - uhhh... Yes, it does happen that people come over the border with weapons and such, but... (a) it's not _nearly_ as common an occurrence as some would have you believe, and (b) the government mostly doesn't "just let" people come in that way. As someone who once lived a few miles from the Mexican border, and whose mother did a lot longer, I can tell you... it's not like you seem to think.

P.S. re 22:48 - just something to consider: who told you, originally, about Jesus? And/or who told them? (Like, I'm not picking on your parents here, but rather church leadership.) What were their motivations? Did they all sincerely believe, as well? Can you tell? How? Because, there's a thing called The Clergy Project, that's basically a peer support group for clergy of whatever religion (not just Christianity) who no longer believe. And yet, many of them remain in the clergy. It's... something to think about.

Yeah, they can see through the sacks on their heads, enough to get by anyway lol.
If I'm repeating something, I apologize (I'm too lazy to read through 200 comments ha ha).
Normally, his one-take videos have no cuts, but in Money Game 3 there is one cut where the camera goes around him when first placed in front of the strings. They had only one custom suit and it would have taken too long to wait for the suit and the floor to dry; plus they only had the one day to film it. One of the water spouts(?) malfunctioned and the one lady violinist's bow got sprayed (Ren and co. paid her for a new one), but she barely moved at all (you can see her moving her bow back as much as possible) so the shot wasn't ruined!
If I could make a suggestion: if you are going to talk or comment on something, it's a good idea to pause the video first so you aren't talking over the music and potentially miss something. Then when returning to the video, hit the left arrow so it goes back 5 seconds, so again, you don't miss anything. If you normally do this, sorry, this is the first video I've watched of yours.

So he knows trigger discipline but he was acting like a maniac in his acting role, he was not worried about trigger discipline. Just like the movies, these rules are not followed. Out with your friends and family at the range shooting live rounds....absolutely. Acting with a gun that has no firing pin and a sealed barrel with an empty magazine not a big worry. It is ingrained in me since I have shot guns and rifles my whole life, I have trigger discipline on a nerf gun. If you are not use to using a gun you have not built up that ingrained muscle memory.

Took great pains to get this accurate, because he knew thered be gun know it alls that wanna analyze it and, funniest thing,.. theyve all been wrong. If you ever mention/hint lip sync again tho....Thats all the other artists in your reactions. How many of them are even involved in a video planning.

Do you think Ren (his name is a proper noun that should start with a capital "R" btw) would approve of the threatening and rude tone of your comment? Do you not think it would be better to politely inform Isaac (I assume his name to be, please politely correct me if I am mistaken), one that is new to watching Ren, the correct information as known by the "RENegades" (aka Ren fans)?

whats rude? my typo or you insinuating the things you were, that were false. All i stated were facts related to the video. Sorry I didnt sugar coat it, im not known for being flowery. How you choose to interpret them is up to you. Im not taking an english test so dont care if I dont use caps for everything. I just find it interesting how some reactors look for flaws and try and predict them instead of reacting to the actual video thats playing. No other artist puts this much into a song/video or performance @@Uniquely-Unoriginal its a shame all of you dont show it/him the proper respect. Theres many reactors Ive watched that do. I also dont care about punctuation if you wanna grade me on that also, go ahead.

@@yarbafett -- I apologize. I just re-read my comment and I believe I made it sound like your whole comment was rude/threatening when it was just a couple phrases (or at least the one phrase (re. lip sync) that sounds threatening/rude). I'm just saying that maybe you should consider/use wording that is more polite/positive sounding when explaining the information. Constructive criticism in a positive way kind of thing. Hopefully, you know what I'm trying to get at. Ugh, I feel I am not explaining it right.
I'm not grading anything, I ignored all grammar and punctuation errors. Hell, half the time, my punctuation isn't right and occasionally, spelling. I'm not an English teacher. I pointed out the capital "R" for his name because it's a pet peeve and find it disrespectful when anyone doesn't cap the first letter of anyone's name. I threw that in there because I could, so I did :D
Anyhoo, oh yeah, I'm not a reactor and appreciate Ren and his art. He is amazing plus tax and deposit!

i fail at comedy a lot also, many comments are meant to be funny. No harm meant. I just get a lil defensive with Ren. My apologies as well@@Uniquely-UnoriginalI was actually enjoying the reacts except for those few comments.

The bad trigger discipline was intentional...a bit of camera assisted sleight of hand and he put an empty mag in the gun... but the illusion of him waving around a loaded gun went wirh the protracted removal of his coat and the intentional withholding of musical resolution just before that...
All meant to make you uneasy, setting up the final verse.

I saw the wolf Johnsons behind the scenes for the 3rd shoot. (He got to go out there to do the bts) in the bts he showed that with the bags over the heads you can still see relatively well. Some of the actors do have 2 bags over their head if they need a more concealed look.

The behind the scenes for MG3 was very interesting and the hand offs between the magazine he "loaded" the rounds into and the empty one that he put into the gun he winds up mishandling.
Enjoyed your reaction to all of it.

Ren lip syncing? 😂😂 Nope 😆
It sounds crisp cuz they spent a lot of time cleaning up the audio.
Edit: Also, the piano intro was him. He would post pre-filming how he was often practicing arpeggios until his brain melted 😂

As an actor Ren could be the next James Bond, then there is his voice, then his storytelling , I could go on..... You should do the Jenny and Screech Trilogy ( must be this version ) it hits hard.

As for the gun: I think at 20:27 there's a hand off off-frame to exchange for an empty clip. At 20:34 (I believe) you can barely see the top of the clip before he puts it back in the gun and there appears to be no bullet-colored objects in it. As for the art of it all, you're so spot on. It's amazing by itself from an artistic standpoint, but then you add in the story, the lyrics, etc. and it's a masterpiece. Not just a masterpiece, but yet ANOTHER masterpiece from Ren. Great video reaction, btw. New to the channel. New subscriber, but I've already dug into other reactions (Pink Floyd, NF, etc).

Just because u dont know of any other systems and stuck in a dualist mindset (capitalism vs socialism) doesnt mean thats all there is, and that our world is broken.
People are pretty predictable (thats why psychology, criminology, advertisement and marketing DO work), its just that this system is obsolete, and socialism was incomplete and idealistic, instead of looking at reality from a scientific point of view like we are doing in any other field where we want to invent a system...
