I’m looking to build relationships with gaming developers as I I’m associated with some the fasted growing GameFi companies so always looking to speak with you people in the space. Would you be open to talking about aaa crypto gaming?
Geez...I've seen some universities' Computer Science department have used game programming as a talking point in undergraduate recruitment. When I pursued Computer Science, I definitely read some anecdotes about the seasonality and the long hours associated with the field. The talking point is not fake, but pursuing Computer Science for the sole purpose to become a game developer could be ill-advised. Perhaps you could react to some universities' recruitment materials.
Do you really want to see me cry on camera? :) I'm sure the marketing is doing its job of enticing people with things that aren't exactly false, but aren't exactly true in their implications, either. If you have some stuff you want me to take a peek at, happy to!

Search for post-mortems on games that you know, or from people who are indie game publishers (e.g. for app store). I used to really like the articles on gamasutra about this, and if you search you can find people describing their experiences writing and releasing indie games, and how financially disappointing it usually is.
I read an article on gamasutra more than a decade ago and realized game development is not for me. Reading about the working conditions turned me off game development career path completely.
