What I love is that this video shows how far you've come and I can't seem to control the hype anymore (oh boy, here comes a rant). I'm so happy that I found your channel back when you made a Scandinavian pokemon region, and it's great being a fan of yours. This video is a cumulative summary of your experience and growth when doing videos and the quality is through the roof. Its great to see you bounce back from losing all your progress on Team Buddy 2 and Egypt. To try and summarize everything that I've just written, here's what I'll say: thank you for being one of my favorite TH-camrs that continues to get better every single video.
This could have been a perfect opportunity to make a third legendary Pokémon based off Bigfoot. The type could be dark and grass and could be a roaming Pokémon
I really wanna see A Brazilian Pokémon region, have much more than beaches, have savannah, deserts, super good culture, the amazon, Brazil is much more than Rio. I really wanna see cities like São Paulo or Gramado being represented in a Pokémon region, and of course, I am really curious to see Rio in a Pokémon region
Could incorporate some Spanish-like elements in the California parts of the region since Spain got there first. They didn't make it too far up the coast but still.
I just recently had an idea for a Ghost/Normal sheet-ghost pokemon that evolves into a haunted wagon train as a not-so-subtle hint at the the Donner party.
im really surprised you didn't mention bigfoot even once! its super cliche but thats what makes it awesome. i was also really expecting something about salmon and/or california newts. but what you _did_ pick in this video is superb! im from the west coast and i never even knew about the dark watchers and it was fun to learn that!! :) great video, i honestly can't wait for part 2
I doubt anyone will notice this but here's my take at a region Quantovo: based on the great lakes states (WI, Il, IN, MI & OH) Its a region centered around a great land-locked sea int he middle Its capital (based on Detroit) is similar to motostoke the player would start in a city-based on Green Bay, WI Some pokemon you would find are Lotad, Fletching and other pokemon you would either find in Cities, Industrial areas, Swamps, Lakes, Forests and Praries
As a citizen of Green Bay, I can say I'd love a starter town based off my city. I also think Green Bay could have a Gym though if the gyms continue to be like SWSH because we have the very large and famous Lambeau Field.
This is the first time I'm actually having trouble picking a Starter Pokémon; they all look so amazing! On the one hand, Gilava's evolutions look really neat and I like the Fire-Poison typing. On the other hand, Seaver is really cute and it reminds me a lot of Oshawott, my favorite starter and one of my favorite Pokémon of all time. On the _other_ hand, Tracoon also looks super cool and I like it's sweet-looking grass sword. I CANT CHOOSE! I WANNEM ALL!
I know the Forest legendary has sasquatch like characteristics. I really would have liked a sasquatch like pokemon due to the huge amount of sightings and lore
This is so cool! I love that you went back and revamped one of your previous ideas for a pokemon region. It's always interesting to see how people change ideas/concepts after they've developed their own style. I can't wait to see what else you make! ^.^ Your previous West Coast video also inspired me to start working on my own fictional region based on the East Coast (specifically the Mid Atlantic/Southeast part of the US). Also, is the gila monster starter related to salazzle by any chance? I ask because its' evolved forms bear similarities.
If you don't mind you should do a region based on other Asian countries or places besides Japan. EX) China(Covi...), East Russia/Siberia(FREEZING), the two Koreas(the CONFLICT), the Indochinese peninsula etc..
娱아론젤나가 In China all the Pokémon look the same. Gotta follow the trend to keep that social credit score high. Even better, make the story that Pokémon battles are banned, and you are constantly running from the CCP so you don’t get thrown in a gulag.
Fun fact about Washington, it has not only mountains but a dessert and Rainforest as well. The rain forest is really small though, if you wanna look it up look for Olympia national park.
West Coast region looks cool, I really want to explore it. I want to be a poke-star and catch some new Pokémon. Can I have a Gilava so I can evolve it Giladon? Or possibly a Tracoon so it can be a Treenuki? West Coast Mandibuzz, Braviary, Scrafty, Coalosda, Polteageist they all look absolutely amazing. I really want to catch Polteageist so I can have a n-ice cup of coffee. For common Adapup I want really want to evolve into Varvixus. I want to have Yappurss, it totes adore. It will help keep Nebby in the bad lol. Buggernaunt and Aileean looks so cool and I want to catch them. Also try the local delicacy Laminab. I hope to see a Polterhyde if it allow me to see it and befriend it. Also help and repair Malwire broken spirit with friendship. West Coast region here I come!!!!
Another piece of history you may want to look into is the Shanghai Tunnels underneath Portland's city. It could be like an explore-able area in whatever your Portland-like city will be where you can access it in the middle of your downtown-district. You should be able to encounter both Ghost and Dark pokemon. Ghost since the Shanghai tunnels are said to be haunted by their past victims and Dark because said victims were abducted for human trafficking (shipping them to China, hence the name) and for of course what downtown Portland tends to be infamous for. Speaking of which, an idea pops in mind for a new common pokemon to be a dark-type seductive temptress that can be found in the area for *ahem* obvious reasons (maybe a coyote? I see some on quite a few occasions wandering around here in the Portland suburbs). Also, you better have the Columbia River Gorge as a route to travel, maybe between a Portland-like city to a cummulative city that takes inspiration from Hood River, The Dalles, and even perhaps Pendleton, idk. The Bonneville Dam is an important feature in the gorge with a fairly beautiful fishery for tourists. I'm sure you've already done a lot of research into this, but I hope I was able to give you some more ideas.
When you talked about how the chihuahua-based pokemon was supposed to be from Mexico but was added for the valley-girl aesthetic, it made me sad to realize you neglected to include California's rich history as part of Mexico before its eventual California Bear revolt and annexation into the United States.
@@Pyrilewski Exactly. Plus i was also looking forward to at least an Alaskan addition to the video with some russian references (since hawaii was kinda already done). To say the west coast has no culture or history kinda makes me sad. Gold rush? Asain immigration? Native Americans? Former territory of spain/Mexico? Haciendas and Missions? None of those were mentioned.
@@andrewgonzalez7143 also how the Native American tribes during the Equal Rights movement had fought for the land the US gov promised them in their treaties. And when Alcatraz prison was occupied by activists too. The game's story could have underlying bits of those who had to create peace to the states, and similar to Unova's story, unite the gym leaders to stop the legendary conflict.

Like always, I just love this section. Treenuki is a definite yes from me, as is Kitsunail, Narbrawl, Sentree, laminab, Paladant looks awesome. Seriously, I always want to build a team off these new Pokémon, and I always wanna play these games. Though if I’m being honest, I think the plot of Scandanavia or Bootleg Galar are my favorites. (I liked your story idea more than Galar’s, to be fair)
If there was a game about technology vs nature, I'd love for the games to ditch the idea of an "evil" team and instead make two warring sides, one that supports total technology and one that completely backs the environment, and depending on which version you got you had one of the teams as an ally and the other as an enemy. Even building off of the two legendaries, if your Ally is the tech team, then they create Malwire with the intention of countering Polterhyde, While if you're allied with the nature team, you enlist the help of Polterhyde to take down Malwire. It would create a similar dynamic to Black and White where there is a moral question presented with two sides representing opposite opinions.
It would be cool if regional variants for the starter pokemon of black and white (snivy, tepig, oshawott) because of how Unova is based on another part of the U.S.A. you would obtain them as a second starter after obtaining one or two gym badges, similar to how you get charmander, squirtle, or bulbasaur in X and Y.
I LOVE the idea of the “ What If?” Pokemon regions and would like to suggest in the politest way possible to not only do countries but also states. An example of this would be like Georgia, taking a grass type like Cherubi and changing it into a peach maybe because Georgia is known for growing peaches.
I mean Georgia alone wouldn’t be interesting as a “what if region” might I suggest the entire southern us? (Carolinas, GA, TN, AL, MS, LA, Arkansas and Florida)
Most states aren't expansive or diverse in their landscape/culture enough to make interesting regions. It's not anything against the states but a lot of them are just small so making it a whole region is so much more interesting. Think about it, if it was the southern US you would have: - The forested areas of Georgia - The beaches of Florida - Some mountainous area in NC - The French culture of New Orleans You see what I mean?
The UFO Pokémon you made reminded me of a little alien Pokémon I made that evolved into a UFO that would abduct you and took you to wherever you wanted! I really want to redesign it now! Thanks for the reminder!
Same. It badly needs a remake, mostly because it faces the same size issue the original version of this video did, meaning several parts would have to be cut out so as to not bore the player.
As someone from Washington, I'm glad he shows images at 2:28 that shows both the Eastern half of the state (what people typically think of) as well as the Western half of the state (which has long stretches of desert).
Yeah, that would be great! Knight pokemon based on Teutonic Knights! Though I would like to see the original German Empire borders instead of modern ones. Heck, let's make it a greater Germany if possible!
Here's a list of countries I want him to do: China: Instagram ideas look promising and humans could use martial arts to fend off feral Pokemon. Russia: Many Ice types due to the climate and the "evil" Legend could be based on Rasputin or Baba Yaga (Dark/Ghost). Mexico: A story point could be based on the "Day of the Dead" in an alternate world and the Mythicals could be based on the Alebrije (Spirit Animals). Africa: There are dozens of animals that could be great Pokemon, from honey badgers to ostriches and a famous sport which includes both Trainer and Pokemon getting involved in (with customisation face paint). Brazil: The main playable Trainer could be an orphan and a contest-like feature could be based on Samba.
I l'm calling it; the legendary pokemon of this game are the capitalist and communist pokemon! Edit: AAANNNDDD, the region has a capitalist evil team and a communist evil team that are fighting for control over the region, like ruby and sapphire!
Polterhyde looks dope my guy!! I like the concept of both of those legendaries; one that wants nature to remain and the other that wants society to keep elevating. When I saw the rabot legendary, I originally thought it was a Regional Variant for Duraladon.
I think a better region would be “West Coast Americas” and not just the US. Canada’s + Alaska snow and ice at the top , all the way down part of western Mexico.
That would be too big. A better idea would just be having Mexico it’s own region. And Alaska alone (whilst sparsely populated) can be a region on its own, as well as canada
You made a pretty good job! Here's a list for some random Pokémon ideas. For the regional bird of this region, I would like to see a Pokémon based on the California quail, which evolves into a roadrunner. The regional rodent would be a porcupine, Pikaclone is a prairie dog, a Ghost-type line based on cameras and Hollywood, a Jackalope, a Bigfoot, Wendigo, hummingbirds, superheroes and finally, Fossil Pokémon based on the Sabertooth Tiger and the Giant Ground Sloth.
The East coast variant of Rufflet/ Braviary should be a mix of brown/ light brown include the flecks of spots on the white breast of the bird Pokemon, because the West coast variant is missing the signature markings to the osprey
Glad to see this. I must admit, I was pretty put off by your “Western US” region, because I didn’t feel like my state (California) was at all well represented by that idea. I had actually done one of my own before I knew about you, based only on Southern California, reasoning that Northern California would have different Pokemon and different things going on, because my state is enormous, but I am liking this so far. I had also planned to put a Disneyland analog in it called Pokéland (I’m only guessing you’re doing that because you mentioned it sort of.) anyway, thank you for giving us on the west coast some real love, and acknowledging us as something distinct from the landlocked states that we neighbor.
When are you going to do the Midwest? The Missouri or Mississippi River could be the surf roadblock, also in south eastern Iowa, there is a university town called Iowa City where the instrumentation for the first US satellite was built and is close to riverside, the future birthplace of James Tiberius Kirk from Star Trek, so you can connect that area to space stuff, like it’s the area where you can find alien Pokémon, just some ideas for you.
Without looking it up to check first, maybe a lot of the deer breeds in the area are already covered by existing pokemon? Guess that is part of the downside with splitting the videos like this, since we don't get to see the returning Pokemon for the region alongside the new concepts.
@@mr.umbreon308 I mean, the standard Deerling line fits really well as is, and that's mostly all you need to match the prevalent breeds, but then there's also Stantler to cover the elk/reindeer quite well. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if the Stantler only show up in the Washington part of the region while Oregon were to be the part that has the Deerling to go along with the lush garden-y landscape motif.
You could probably make a whole region out of just california. As someone who lives on the west coast of CA just south of the bay. A few regional variants and gyms or towns I’d add: Regional variant of the horsea line that becomes much more powerful, very stealthy. They have leafy appendages and have an ability that gives them the bonuses of being grass type without any of the weaknesses. I’d also include some kind of undersea area with a legendary. Town: Some kind of tourist beach town with the kelp Pokémon and the horsea variant I mentioned, and the dewgong variant. Based on Monterey and has a massive aquarium, and a water gym. Picture something like a mix of lillycove and undella town. One more thing, replace the california fire starter with a salamander from the great redwood forests. It could be fire/poison and also learn water moves like scald due to it often being near streams, and grass and bug moves due to hiding under dead logs often

Gnoggin did a far better job with native influences in his Kaskade region
I just woke up and now I can sit back drink hot coca and watch this.
DreamNotePrincess, coca? Why you be drinking a cup of coca leaves lol
I really do want a fangame that has all the pokemon u made in it, these are amazing ideas and concepts and if i played this game i can confirm i will not stop till i have every pokemon, every shiny, every item, and till every little detail has been found!
The mythical would have to be a jackalope and the legendary is Bigfoot.
This could have been a perfect opportunity to make a third legendary Pokémon based off Bigfoot. The type could be dark and grass and could be a roaming Pokémon
DLC.
A mythical, would have been perfect
Perfect
Incredible concepts. These videos always motivate me to produce new things. Keep up the excellent work!
I Want to see ANY Of these Places as a Pokemon Region:
1. Alaska
2. Canada
3. China
4. Russia
5. Mexico
6. Spain
7. Brazil
If you're interested my current Pokemon saga involves a region based off of Southeast China and surrounding nations (like Hong Kong and Taiwan).
I'd love to see Germany.
Nick Gallon no, Uranium is based on the Rio de Janeiro State, is not full Brazil.
Nick Gallon bur Pokemon uranium is cool
Could incorporate some Spanish-like elements in the California parts of the region since Spain got there first. They didn't make it too far up the coast but still.
It’s taught all the time in California history. Spain was the first to settle there not counting Native Americans
I just recently had an idea for a Ghost/Normal sheet-ghost pokemon that evolves into a haunted wagon train as a not-so-subtle hint at the the Donner party.
I can see it being named Wagonner
im really surprised you didn't mention bigfoot even once! its super cliche but thats what makes it awesome. i was also really expecting something about salmon and/or california newts. but what you _did_ pick in this video is superb! im from the west coast and i never even knew about the dark watchers and it was fun to learn that!! :) great video, i honestly can't wait for part 2
I doubt anyone will notice this but here's my take at a region
Quantovo: based on the great lakes states (WI, Il, IN, MI & OH)
Its a region centered around a great land-locked sea int he middle
Its capital (based on Detroit) is similar to motostoke
the player would start in a city-based on Green Bay, WI
Some pokemon you would find are Lotad, Fletching and other pokemon you would either find in Cities, Industrial areas, Swamps, Lakes, Forests and Praries
This sounds really cool!
As a citizen of Green Bay, I can say I'd love a starter town based off my city. I also think Green Bay could have a Gym though if the gyms continue to be like SWSH because we have the very large and famous Lambeau Field.
Your channel is seriously the best.
So far I've for sure eliminated Tracoon, because there's no way I would not get a Sentree.
I'm so glad you included my seal idea! Thanks Mr. Buddy, you inspired me to make my own regions
Narbrawl coming in here with the "Tom and Jerry Hired Goons" walk and I'm all for it
OH MY GOD-
THAT WAS MY FIRST THOUGHT TOO
I CANT UNSEE IT NOW BUT THAT JUST MAKES IT 10000000000000 TIMES BETTER
Seeing all these new pokemon makes me want an actual game with these. Also I’d love to see the shiny variants within these videos!
Yesss!!
Been watching since the first livestream, so happy to see it finally done
I know the Forest legendary has sasquatch like characteristics. I really would have liked a sasquatch like pokemon due to the huge amount of sightings and lore
So, when is Game Freak going to hire you?

So much goodness! From interesting starters, sick regional variants, and neat new pokemon designs.

This is so cool! I love that you went back and revamped one of your previous ideas for a pokemon region. It's always interesting to see how people change ideas/concepts after they've developed their own style. I can't wait to see what else you make! ^.^
Your previous West Coast video also inspired me to start working on my own fictional region based on the East Coast (specifically the Mid Atlantic/Southeast part of the US).
Also, is the gila monster starter related to salazzle by any chance? I ask because its' evolved forms bear similarities.
This is so cool, can’t wait to see the rest. What if Korea was a Pokémon region?

How about more poison-types?
OK, but if this ever becomes a game, I'm naming my grass starter Tom Nook.

You made amazing Pokémon designs. With a great concept around the region. Loved it. Would play it
If you don't mind you should do a region based on other Asian countries or places besides Japan.
EX) China(Covi...), East Russia/Siberia(FREEZING), the two Koreas(the CONFLICT), the Indochinese peninsula etc..
India or perhaps Saudi Arabia (Persia)
娱아론젤나가 In China all the Pokémon look the same. Gotta follow the trend to keep that social credit score high.
Even better, make the story that Pokémon battles are banned, and you are constantly running from the CCP so you don’t get thrown in a gulag.

Fun fact about Washington, it has not only mountains but a dessert and Rainforest as well. The rain forest is really small though, if you wanna look it up look for Olympia national park.

I want to be a poke-star and catch some new Pokémon.
Can I have a Gilava so I can evolve it Giladon? Or possibly a Tracoon so it can be a Treenuki?
West Coast Mandibuzz, Braviary, Scrafty,
Coalosda, Polteageist they all look absolutely amazing. I really want to catch Polteageist so I can have a n-ice cup of coffee.

I want to have Yappurss, it totes adore. It will help keep Nebby in the bad lol. Buggernaunt and Aileean looks so cool and I want to catch them.

When you talked about how the chihuahua-based pokemon was supposed to be from Mexico but was added for the valley-girl aesthetic, it made me sad to realize you neglected to include California's rich history as part of Mexico before its eventual California Bear revolt and annexation into the United States.
yeah, i saw the Chihuahua, and got excited he was finally addressing Cali's rich Mexican culture, and then immediately felt super slighted.
Good Video.
I have to criticize though: If it's about Art, where is Farbeagle in all this? You know, the little one with the Brush as a Tail??
And the Pokedex Entry about the Grass Starter makes it seem like they are very common, but they are Starters! That contraditcts each other!
What is the deal with Sentree?!
Anyway, these Legendary Backstorys make me wonder: Did Solario and Lunala from 'Sun' and 'Moon' even had a Story that was more than one single Sentece long?!?!
Man, when i think back at the Times of Palkia, Dialga and Giratina-chan, these were times... these were Legends!!!
We NEED this region. SO COOL
Think about it, if it was the southern US you would have:
- The forested areas of Georgia
- The beaches of Florida
- Some mountainous area in NC
- The French culture of New Orleans
You see what I mean?
The UFO Pokémon you made reminded me of a little alien Pokémon I made that evolved into a UFO that would abduct you and took you to wherever you wanted! I really want to redesign it now! Thanks for the reminder!
Read the dex entry for the ufo Pokémon
The entry doesn’t look right

IM FREAKING OUT MAN!!!! You were just talking about Disney land, and a commercial for Disney land!!!!
You should redo your Greek region, I would love to see more lore and story on that!
Same. It badly needs a remake, mostly because it faces the same size issue the original version of this video did, meaning several parts would have to be cut out so as to not bore the player.
Hell yea I miss those videos
Hope you add more about the indigenous history on the west coast. Its a lot more rich than the rest of the country
As someone from Washington, I'm glad he shows images at 2:28 that shows both the Eastern half of the state (what people typically think of) as well as the Western half of the state (which has long stretches of desert).
Could you do one about Germany ?
Yeah, that would be great! Knight pokemon based on Teutonic Knights!
Though I would like to see the original German Empire borders instead of modern ones.
Heck, let's make it a greater Germany if possible!
Here's a list of countries I want him to do:
China: Instagram ideas look promising and humans could use martial arts to fend off feral Pokemon.
With the Germany region, he could start in the north and the Pokémon-League could be based on Neuschwanstein

Polterhyde looks dope my guy!! I like the concept of both of those legendaries; one that wants nature to remain and the other that wants society to keep elevating. When I saw the rabot legendary, I originally thought it was a Regional Variant for Duraladon.
Galarian Rapidash: You are not PURE OF HEART!!
The Tech Legendary could even tie into the Porygon line or even Genesect. Maybe get different forms and elements with Rotom?
I’ve got an idea!
“What if Finland was a Pokémon Region”.
A pokémon based on bigfoot/sasquatch or one based on the tree octopus myth would've been great
I would give the Impidimp line Dark Fire and base it off of a devil cause of Vegas. It would just be from a local region that somehow walked over.
As someone who lives in california this makes me so happy!!
I feel like with a US concept and such rich native mythology, you could make a pokemon inspired by the Wendigo stories.
That'd be siiiiick
The East coast variant of Rufflet/ Braviary should be a mix of brown/ light brown include the flecks of spots on the white breast of the bird Pokemon, because the West coast variant is missing the signature markings to the osprey
I do hope you’re gonna make one BIG video that has this and the other parts in it
I'm honestly really impressed how thought-through and creative these are.
He says he is going over the mythology, yet does not include the jackalope or thunderbird, two of the big Western mythological creatures
13:32 i Kinda like Yappurse, is adorable!
The UFOs are spot on. Good job.
I’m kind of confused why there are no knew deer Pokémon even though there’s a lot of them in at least Oregon
Without looking it up to check first, maybe a lot of the deer breeds in the area are already covered by existing pokemon? Guess that is part of the downside with splitting the videos like this, since we don't get to see the returning Pokemon for the region alongside the new concepts.
Shalakor the only deer pokemon I can think of is deerling and it’s evolution
@@mr.umbreon308 I mean, the standard Deerling line fits really well as is, and that's mostly all you need to match the prevalent breeds, but then there's also Stantler to cover the elk/reindeer quite well.
Though, I wouldn't be surprised if the Stantler only show up in the Washington part of the region while Oregon were to be the part that has the Deerling to go along with the lush garden-y landscape motif.
Shalakor yeah that makes since, I also wouldn’t be surprised if there were regional variants of the deerling line
Long Islander here, can confirm if a place is coastal and well forested there will DEFINITELY be deer there

You could probably make a whole region out of just california. As someone who lives on the west coast of CA just south of the bay. A few regional variants and gyms or towns I’d add:
Regional variant of the horsea line that becomes much more powerful, very stealthy. They have leafy appendages and have an ability that gives them the bonuses of being grass type without any of the weaknesses.
I’d also include some kind of undersea area with a legendary.
Town:
Some kind of tourist beach town with the kelp Pokémon and the horsea variant I mentioned, and the dewgong variant.
Ben Goodwin ur a geniusss walking thru Monterey bay aquarium in Pokémon would be so sick 😩 or even Santa Cruz and stuff too
