So you are making a B PILLAR or DOOR POST right? And this will allow the door to shut flush. This is what I'm thinking. I have been videos on cars like this and they all overlap which is a pet pev of mine. I want to build a car like you are doing ...just a little higher in the rear so I can have a backseat.
Yea that's right ! I also use a piece of 1/8" cold rolled against the tube and skins to give space for door to close. I cant stand paint getting slammed over and over again when it could look good for years
All I got is a Flux core welder and I'd have to use it to build mine when I get one. Are you making template of everything you are making? Could sale them and recoup some money spent.
I like your Idea about the templates I have not saved all of them but would be able to make some easily ! I agree flux core machines are under used Its allot cheaper to run than gas machines as long as your able to sand the bead / spatter off when done
3" x 1" x 1/8 inch , I tried to make the skin side of the fabricated tube as close as possible to the outer door / body skin to minimize gaps / heat input / warpage thanks for the comment!
I appreciate the new subs ! cant wait to do more videos thanks Bodie !
🇬🇧 Build it to last 🇬🇧 Looks like your boys wants it. . 👍🧐 fantastic build
