Trans swimmer Lia Thomas's win of a US national women's race has prompted outrage.
Fair Play for Women's Fiona McAnena says "This is damaging sport all the way through."
She suggests having a "women only" category and making the men's category "open to all."

This is easy to resolve. All biological women should refuse to compete against males. Boycott all meets where Thomas competes.
There IS a reason why they are SILENT. All Top Atlethes ARE trans.

@@lauralauren6432 you’re insane. There were a few in the Soviet days who were transitioned with male hormones to win female categories. But there was not any biological men until recently. And also those techniques from the 70s the Russians and East Germans used are all banned and screened for now in pro sports.

They are such a small minority that there would be minimal support, hardly any spectators etc. What should happen, across the board, in every competitive women’s sport, is that if any ‘ trans ‘ participates, all women should refuse to compete, it wouldn’t take too long for the sport’s organisers to respond if that were to happen

Things like this are an absolute travesty and shame on these competitors having such a little self respect they claim the title will be beaten a load of women. Why do men who wish to pretend to be women need their own league? They can compete with other men.
Remember when taking human growth hormone, or any other form of performance enhancing drugs, was enough for athletes to be stripped of their medals and receive a mandatory 2 year ban for cheating?

It's a man, clearly bigger, stronger, far faster than the women he was competing against, as a male swimmer he was ranked 462nd, now supposedly winning, absolutely out of order and totally unfair.
I'd like to know if Thomas has LEGALLY changed his name to 'Lia'. I have a suspicion that he's doing this just to be able to win medals and make a name for himself. After university he gets a good coaching job, goes back to 'Will' and living a man's life.

Lia Thomas subsequently threw their two other races; posting times that were well below their average. I am not sure what is worse - an athlete that used to be a man absolutely trouncing the competition or the fact that they then subsequently threw races in an attempt to show how 'fair' the whole thing is.

It doesnt matter what Lia Thomas thinks she is, shes got a man's body with a man's muscle mass, larger lungs and heart. No matter how many drugs she takes to inhibit her mans body, that will not change. Those are the facts. She is competing against woman who cant use drugs to achieve what her mans body can do. So she shouldnt be allowed to compete in womans events. Woman are being pushed out of sports, there are existing laws that are being ignored that protect womans rights to unfair competition. If transgender individuals want to compete in a given sport than they should by law have exclusive events for just them where they can compete.

I'm not against any sexuality you want to be BUT, surely this has to be about common sense? Imagine Mike Tyson identifying as a woman and then entering a boxing competition. The only way to stop this is for ALL other competitors to just not even diving in the water or anything (obviously depending on the event). That would then make the event pointless.

What we need is a high profile male athlete who has recently retired (or is about to) to say he's going to 'transition' for the sole purpose of showing the absurdity of the situation. That would quickly bring this matter to a head and lead to proper rules being put in place.

"Lia" has not done anything that is not completely reversible, afaik. In other words, he doesn't fit very well in a women's swimsuit, and still dates women. Once he has stolen enough medals, he can simply stop taking hormone injections and cut his hair. What he plans to do with the rest of his life is a mystery - there is no "Ice-capades" for swimmers, and no one is going to hire him, he is an obvious head case. Would anyone want to read his book, or see his bio on TV? I doubt it. He's going to get jeered wherever he goes. Maybe he can run for Congress, they're taking anybody nowadays. I hope those medals are worth it to him, because he has thrown the rest of his life away.
I agree once Lia has scooped all the trophies he can ,he will no doubt go back and say been there done that and it will be hushed up,however this person can say I have won fair and square is beyond me,plus if it was my son my wife and I would not be able to pat him on the back and say good on you son.

The worse example was in a US wrestling competition where the man, a transgender woman, beat his opponent to a pulp.
The worst was an MMA fight last year, where the trans"woman" beat the crap out of the woman fighter. The trans was Alana McLaughlin, an ex Navy Seal.

Thanks for the details, of which I could not remember. Everyone was upset but the officials, said and did nothing. This was far more horrific than the Lia Thomas victory.
Why is no one questioning the swimmers thought process. They know what they were born as and the advantages it has but still choose to take it away from another swimmer.
I just find it strange how few trans men what to compete in their "Chosen Gender".

My wife regularly asks me to get the lid off the beetroot jar. It rarely happens the other way round where the bloke asks the woman. My wife is equal to me but not the same as me. Equality doesn't not automatically mean sameness. Equality of rights, opportunities and intrinsic equality of worth is not the same as saying men and and woman are biologically/hormonally the same! For starters, I don't have a womb and she doesn't have a John Thomas.
