I think Jedong's speech was the highlight of this series. Not only was he able to inject some humour in some of the answers, but the answers were genuine. When he said to say hello to ourselves, it really hit home - SK is a place filled with people that think poorly of themselves, if that message could travel to them and give them hope I think that his words have done well. Thanks for a touching episode.
Yes his speech was so inspirational, everything he said was on point, then came that family video messages that really made me so emotional and i cried buckets. This episode was the best by far because the topic was so meaningful. Everybody both men and women can relate to it.
I was hanging onto every word that Jedong spoke. I respect him very much for passing on his wisdom. And I am reminded again and again why Yoo Jaesuk is so deserving of his 'Nations MC' title because it's evident that those that surround him only have great things to say about him and how he's supportive to all his juniors and colleagues and respectful to his fans. I'm glad there is a person like him in the industry that people can look up to. I'm not trying to persuade that he's perfect or doesn't have any faults but he's a great person in almost every aspect. Very admirable.
Best episode yet! Kim Je Dong is just amazing, his answers for those questions were so inspiring and actually helpful. I really do want to see him more on TV again. Watching the family videos and seeing Jae Suk's tears fall was so beautiful. I'm so excited for the special next week, and I've been waiting for AOA, I'm so glad they came. Oh and Hong Jin Young is so refreshing, I know her scheduele is crazy cause she's on every show I watch at some point, but she's always fun to watch and omg her figure is amazing
Jedong must have been through so much to be able to give such good advice to anyone around him like that. I hope the best for him and that he finds true happiness
One of THE best episodes. Kim Jedong is the best tbh! He is so profound and wise in things he says. I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes popular like Jaesuk at one point. He totally got my respect and I became a major fan today. They need him on this show.
He used to be one of top MCs in Korea alongside Yoo Jaesuk and Kang Hodong in the past. Unfortunately he had been suppressed and was even banned in some TV stations for years due to his vocal support for social and political activism. Now he only has bit role in Healing Camp. However, he remains very popular among students and is often invited to give talks in universities. His talk concerts are also often sold out in Korea and overseas where there is significant Korean presence.
Kim Jedong and his speech was so inspiring and uplifting. It really made me question myself and the people around me. One of my favorite episodes so far.
I really love and respect Kim Jedong in many ways. Not only does he get himself so involved in political issues as well as strikes, he also gives to charity and does work to help others. Even though he's been through so many obstacles relating to some broadcasting issues in the past, he's been able to live past that and still continues to give lectures and such moving speeches to other people, to inspire them, and to share the pain. P.S. He's also really funny XD. I loved this episode and the messages I learned, and I hope I Am A Man continues to have higher ratings. Fighting, I Am A Man! (I mean, I tune into every episode ;3). ^-^
Kim Jedong would be an amazing host for this show tbh! This is one of my favourite episodes so far!! =) Jedong is super hilarious, and he fits in well with the other hosts. ^-^
I can say that it's unanimous. This is by far one of their best episodes to date. I was a fan of Kim Jedong since his days on Star Golden Bell, and his appearance today only attests to his character, and why he should be on TV more. Korea has shared with the world its beautiful culture from music, dramas, and movies. Through this media, people were entertained. People laughed, and had fun, but there is a harsh reality everyone eventually must face. Kim Jedong is able to speak eloquently with passion and show empathy on issues that affect many. He may not be the best looking, the strongest, or the tallest, but people can relate when he speaks and shares his words of wisdom, because he speaks from experience. He's someone anyone can feel like sharing their troubles over a drink, and discuss anything. He's your shoulder to lean on, your pillow to scream into, he's your right hand, he's your best friend, and that's what makes Kim Jedong a man. I look forward to seeing him more. Kim Jedong 파이팅!
woah kim jedong. i hope he will find someone special soon. really like him since he appeard on human condition, healing camp, and 1d2n. such a wise man. thank you for inspiring me kim jedong
Wow, I seriously cried after finishing the episode. I, too, even though still young, understand how preparing for a career whether you like it or not is so hard. It's hard to get out there, get recognized, and make it in life. It's hard nowadays to just make it comfortably! I wish all the guests and everyone watching much success in life and the strength to endure and overcome all their battles they will face. Everything happens for a reason and has its purpose. You are special like everyone too. When one door closes another will always open. Don't let negativity stray you away from the success that is for you! FIGHTING!!!!!!
Me too... I was thinking to myself watching this video was wasting time but now I know nope, even the lion rest and that I shouldn't be so hard on myself. Fighting!
This show helped me to remember why I love kim jae dong so much! It's a shame he's not more popular than he is. He should be on the show instead. It would be hilarious!
I think in the 10 episodes that aired this is the only one worth watching yet...finally they gave the episode a conclusion and a reason why all those guests came...and hopefully they were able to cheer not just the people in the audience but those that are in the same situation as well...
Kim JeDong has always have that aura in him - being able to pull the audience all in the right strings. I've always observed and adored him (after Yoo JaeSuk) since YaShimManMan days. Like everyone else, i feel that speech he imparted is just priceless. *Tears rolling as I typed this out* If I were to have his phone no., I'd call him in an instant! Even better, do a proposal on an opportunity of doing talks internationally. Cuz I know he's THAT good. It's a pity that there r people who regard his political stance too much compared to what he has contributed to TV/Radio. I just hope Kim JeDong will find a soulmate who will cherish him for who he is.
Omg from the beginning of Jedong's speech to the end of this episode I was in tears. This seriously hit home for me. This is my favourite episode by far! :')
I cried without realizing while I was watching this episode. I'm going through a tough time in my life and everything they said here touched my heart deeply... I felt pain and comfort at the same time...
One of the best episodes I seen so far! Kim jeong was amazing and so inspiring... and then the letter from their parents had me tearing up because I'm sure they know how hard it is and they want their children to succeed in what they're striving to do. S.korea has so many high standards for jobs (I'm thinking because of the economy collapse a while back and how hard it was then they had to raise their standards considerably) but I hope the best for them
Jedong's advice was really amazing. I got a bit teary then but started bawling when the family videos came out. I think in all the shows I've watched with Jaesuk, this is my first time seeing him (almost) cry?! Damn, so emotional. Anyway, I really like I AM A MAN, I wish the ratings were better for them!! It'll be awesome if they could extend the 20 eps or at least go on for another season.
I have cried a bucket watching the show. Then I started to read the comments, AGAIN I cried a bucket. It feels like each and everyone of us can relate to this episode. Kim Jedong is definitely a wise man. I watched this show from ep 1 they provided me with laughter but this ep, it goes straight into my heart.
It's boring at times. Running man was interesting and then it got boring..I'm watching for yoo jae suk hehehe. No hard feelings but I understand why this show gets low rating. I think their introduction is too long. What I want to watch most is the audience's stories, not excessive, pointless talking among the MCs. Some of the co-hosts are not funny, there are a lot of awkward moments, like conversation coming to an abrupt end, in short, no chemistry. And.. the format changes all the time, sometimes they have the MCs leading groups and then they don't! Anyway, I wish they'd give more screentime to stories from the audience. :)
ilikekpopalot it was actually NOT that bad, the latest episode for example beat MBC and become #1 in it's time slot. When this episode aired they find a footing and oftenly beat SBS though still behind MBC I Live Alone. Remember this show aired relatively late at night so double digit ratings is so hard to reach, they usually in the range of 6-7% in some latest episode.
Basically bawling my eyes out at the end. i relate to this so much. if anyone showed me a video of my mother saying things like that about me, i’d cry buckets. i will continue working hard and not give up. thankful for this episode.
This episode is amazing in many ways. I've always liked Kim Jedong and have always thought he's funny and witty but this is the first time I saw him do something like this. I agree with the things he said especially about the Cheer up thing. Those words can sound empty if you're struggling. Empathy is really the way to go. Some people say that I am a Man is quite sexist and raises men in a pedestal but I think this show is doing the opposite. It's showing how men, like any human being, also struggle through life. Everyone goes through life like everyone else and it doesn't matter who you are. I wish this show would go on longer. Thank you kbs for this wonderful show!
Woaah jedong corner so greattt with all the good talk and qoutes 👍 and last session with the fams giving opinion too! Omooo i'm tearing uppppp. People whos seeking for job HWAITING! 아자 아자 파이팅!!!!!
Such a heartfelt episode. Somehow I feel Hong jin Young "Cheer Up" song is derived from this episode; the whole losing and trying to get a job and feeling down. I wonder if she talked about why she decided on that song.
I can say that this episode was the best till now, i was laughing i was enjoying but this was serious and i learned a lot from Kim Jedong. Thank you KBS for this show and for this episode, hope to see more and more from this show (more than 20 ep lol) FIGHTING !!!!!
Wow I have so much to say and I don't know where to start but I wanted to make sure to leave a comment just in case the staff actually review the comments here. That was a totally new side of Kim Jedong! I really didn't expect that! Hopefully, he gets a main MC role at a good talk show that is suited for him. Wow, I've never seen Yoo Jaesuk cry on screen (except from laughter) but yeah, just... that silence after playing the interviews. First time seeing Yoo Jaesuk not recovering composure on time but everyone was silent with him, too. That was the best kind of response, I guess. What must have been going through their minds.. I feel like this show gained more versatility through this episode. It's more than just making people laugh. And they shouldn't make the talent portion a regular thing, too. I like it better when they stick strictly to the theme and plan efficiently around that. I just thought of this after typing all the above: I AM A MAN SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED KIM JEDONG AT THE BEGINNING. or may be it's better that he just starts now? because he might have fallen into the same problem as Im Wonhui (hope I got the name right); not speaking much. Although I do recognize him making a lot of quick comments on other shows.. Ok, finally, my personal response. I am still a college student, and I am about to hit the 20s. But I still cried together with them. I am also from Asia, a very collective society, and whenever I fail something, or not achieve something, the first thing that comes to my mind is my family. I want to make them proud. I want them to stop worrying about me. Even though a lot of people think that I am individualistic, I am actually very aware of other people. oh no.. the emotions are still hitting me hard. I don't know what to say more than this. So, bye and stay happy, everyone who were also touched by this episode. :)
this is more of the setup i was expecting from the "i am man" tv shows -- an episode that helps men with their burdens and gives them a space to talk and get stronger/improve themselves. I actually really enjoyed this episode, and Jaedong has always been skilled in speaking: he'd be a marvelous motivational speaker and the practice questions and roleplay were super beneficial not only to the guests of the show, but for women and people even outside of Korea that are struggling with finding a job.
I was binge watching some Hong Jin Young content so I came to this. And before I even realized, my tears had been rolling down my cheek as I watched Kim Je Dong delivering his speech. Thanks a lot.
I think it's one of the best episode if not the best, I was really touched and had teary eyes at the end. Am I the only one who think it was kind of random to put AOA at the end lol.
I love this show so much, it is so funny, interesting, helpful and so "real world" centered. I dont know why the show has such low ratings when i find every single episode to be so enjoyable more than any other variety show i've watched. I hope the ratings will get better and they can air mpre episodes :)
As soon as the videos of interviewing their families started I just couldn't hold back my tears... I live a very smooth life so I can't say I fully understand their feelings but I can't help but sincerely wish for their success and just as well for Kim Jedong's happiness. His words were really inspiring.
I love this episode so much, especially that many countries, including my country have high unemployement rate, and the most tragic fact is there are many college graduates who are unemployee. So, i think this is the most relatable episode of "i am a man" and i hope many people will get motivation from this episode and for all mother who wish their children to be successful. Oh yeah, i've kind of agree with dong min whether a girl with too much aegyo have to control themselves a bit, that is why nam goong min, miss battery's boyfriend 진짜 대박 , not many man can put up with it
I'am really glad to watched this show.. Because tomorrow is the start of the biggest exam in my country,Malaysia which is SPM and I'am sitting for it.. Thank you KBS and thank you I'am a Man!!!! Wish me luck..
I had read some of the comments and how some of you guys were crying so I was waiting to see if I would. Jedong's speech was so touching but I it did not make me cry.....and then they showed the videos of the family members, I wasn't expecting that and now I can't stop crying :(
I totally can relate to this eps theme. Gosh, bursting tears when it comes to family interview. I hope KBS will continue this show. The most relevant kshow to date.
The best episode of I Am A Man so far. It started off funny (as usual) but then got serious & made me cried. It's sad to see the guys struggling to find jobs & the hosts were also feeling that way too. Looking at them all quiet & red-eyed after the video made me cried even more. Also thumbs up to Kim Jedong for his advice & more respect to Jaesuk for being a good friend to him. Jaesuk daebak 😚😚😚
Im a girl and yet its soooooooooo good. Seriously something must be wrong for a good show like this to not have rating. Its all informative every week.
this is an inspiring episodes... previous episodes has been entertaining but this episode has hit me to the core. Yes, I am a girl secretly watching this show but what Jedong said reallyhit me. I am struggling through a rough patch now as well. what he said made me realized that i shouldn't be too hard on myself. On a contrary, i should be glad i have people who care and listens to me. I really hope that this show will continue on even after the 24 episodes. It gives so much insight to life as well as to girls to understand the opposite gender better.
Wow this episode just made me burst out into tears especially near the end with the family videos. People are always hard on themselves and feel that unspoken pressure, so to see that their families are actually feeling sorry and not angry and frustrated at them; they're the ones that know first-hand how hard their son/daughter is trying.
After a long time I'm crying at watch this episode. I'll work hard to can meet Mister Yoo Jaeseok in the future. I hope they get job soon and i wnt to do what I want too. Thank you and admire you, Mister Yoo. Don't cry again please.
For those preparing for jobs.. Good Luck ! .. Your cloudy days will gone soon.. its not gonna be always dark when you knew someday your days gonna be bright with sunshine.. Just keep be positive and don't push yourself to the limit.. remember those who always lucky will soon out of luck.. Patiently wait for your turn, it will be your time to be lucky and have a stable job.. Fighting ! :)
I've graduated in 2008 and I'm still struggling to get a proper job. Being extreme inarticulate and introvert, I found it is hard to be hired as I failed to win interviewer's heart. TT_TT
e r I think it's much the same as ***** has mentioned. I often stumble and lost my words during the interview, no matter how much I've been prepared and practicing the Q&A. Do you e r have any tips for me?
one of my favourite tv show.. my sisters , friends and i really was really enjoying to watch 'em . but this was serious and i learned a lot from Kim Jedong. Thank you KBS for this show and for this episode, hope to see more and more from this show FIGHTING !!
These guys are grate. It was a wonderful episode and actually gave me something to think about. Many people forget to stop and save some time for themselves, we forget to be patient and forget to think positive many times because of the pressure we take in from society. As long as we don't give and give it our best, there will be no losing battle.
It's the first Episode that I watch and I can tell that they try for many young people to give them suport & advices, nowadays many of them get frustated and depresed by many factors, I hope they never give up on their goals. If you are reading this: you can do it!!♤♡
Thank you KBS for this upload, this show was so good. I am definitely a fan now, especially with Jaedong who must join the show and so many others shows, he is so talented. 1N2D special with Zo Insung was so good because of him indeed. Very nice and special episode for I am a Man.
I love Kim Jae-dong! Such a down to earth and smart dude. I feel bad for him, he always gets put down on shows. I know it's his variety persona, but still.
ever since hong jin young appeared on running man, ive been a fan and i actually listen to some trot. shes so beautiful
Me too! Perhaps u should what her on wgm too
Mind Zahid yeah i have occasionally, but when im crunched for time, i just watch the so eun and jaerim couple
I like her personality but i love her even more now that she cooly admits that she did some ps. Her honesty is jjang!!!
Soshiks Jang she had ps? When did she tell this?

Yeah jedong was always been funny everytime he came to jae suk's show. I don't really get it why he didn't have a job.
kim jedong zzang! :D
***** you know what I checked it because of your comment haha and the result is: It's not the same suit :P

I think that this has got to be the most meaningful episode so far, that speech by Jedong was really touching
The greatest episode so far ♡
Now I really respect kim Jedong more
I cried with yoo jaesuk .. that was really touching
Such an amazing episode.
Kim Jedong's Q&A is the highlight of this episode.
Kim Jedong's speech is a reality we all face.
woah kim jedong. i hope he will find someone special soon. really like him since he appeard on human condition, healing camp, and 1d2n. such a wise man. thank you for inspiring me kim jedong

Omg from the beginning of Jedong's speech to the end of this episode I was in tears. This seriously hit home for me. This is my favourite episode by far! :')
Wow... Kim Jedong's speech was amazing!
I cried without realizing while I was watching this episode. I'm going through a tough time in my life and everything they said here touched my heart deeply... I felt pain and comfort at the same time...

non koreans really love this show. strange that koreans do not seem to like it. we love kim jedong, he really is an entertainer.
Basically bawling my eyes out at the end. i relate to this so much. if anyone showed me a video of my mother saying things like that about me, i’d cry buckets. i will continue working hard and not give up. thankful for this episode.
Kim Jedong is really an amazing guy !!! His words touched my heart .........
Thank you.. This episode is the best... I'm unemployed right now.. I feel so motivated after watching this.. Fighting!
Ngaw the ending was so emotional. Its the first for me seeing Yoo Jae Suk cry, I hope all the men in the audience find a job soon ^^

Jedong had me in tears but when I saw jaesuks red eyes I just kept thinking about that puppy from last weeks episode XD ~ sorry jaesuk
Haha I had shed tears until I saw ur comment lol
Its always good to laugh during sad times :D
What puppy? Hmm I need to watch the show again
the one from last weeks look alike episode it was so funny >.
Jayla Goodwin
lol i forgot about that
i think this is my first time saw Yu Jaesuk cried. i secretly always watched this program! 나 는 여자가!
Impressed with Ojung's dancing skills :O.
Jedong must have went through a lot himself.. It was so nice of him to share his experiences with them. :)
Am I the only one who think it was kind of random to put AOA at the end lol.
at least they had cheerleader outfits! ^^
Haha true but I wanted to see them more than 2mins
just one thing, thank you jedong. this is the first time i think he is so charming.
I feel like I'm watching a Ted talk when jedong was speaking. It was nice.
This is by far, the most touching episode.
His words were really inspiring.
jaedong's speech had me me crying
I love this episode so much, especially that many countries, including my country have high unemployement rate, and the most tragic fact is there are many college graduates who are unemployee. So, i think this is the most relatable episode of "i am a man" and i hope many people will get motivation from this episode and for all mother who wish their children to be successful. Oh yeah, i've kind of agree with dong min whether a girl with too much aegyo have to control themselves a bit, that is why nam goong min, miss battery's boyfriend 진짜 대박 , not many man can put up with it
I’m crying again Yoo Jae suk my love you’re just a humble man
Wow didn't expect wise words from jedong
I'am really glad to watched this show.. Because tomorrow is the start of the biggest exam in my country,Malaysia which is SPM and I'am sitting for it.. Thank you KBS and thank you I'am a Man!!!! Wish me luck..
Very inspiring and smart speech by Jedong.
i think kim jaedong filmed here & go to 2days &1night last week's ep
I had read some of the comments and how some of you guys were crying so I was waiting to see if I would. Jedong's speech was so touching but I it did not make me cry.....and then they showed the videos of the family members, I wasn't expecting that and now I can't stop crying :(
Aww Kim JaeDong that was beautiful :')
Its all informative every week.
so honest, jedong ssi, i admire you.
omo this ep was so good kim jedong is reaaly the best his speech was so inspirational i love him
this is an inspiring episodes... previous episodes has been entertaining but this episode has hit me to the core.
6 years later, and I still come back for Jedong's speech🥺🥺
very touching episode and a lot of good pointers.
Wow this episode just made me burst out into tears especially near the end with the family videos. People are always hard on themselves and feel that unspoken pressure, so to see that their families are actually feeling sorry and not angry and frustrated at them; they're the ones that know first-hand how hard their son/daughter is trying.
This show is just perfect!People can open their hearts on it and say what they really feel.PLEASE! KEEP ON AIRING!!!
SEASON 2 pleaseeeeeee 🙇🙇🙇🙇
After a long time I'm crying at watch this episode. I'll work hard to can meet Mister Yoo Jaeseok in the future. I hope they get job soon and i wnt to do what I want too. Thank you and admire you, Mister Yoo. Don't cry again please.
it’s so hard to see such a bright person like YJS cry
This is an old video. But i have to say i started to tear up while Jedong was giving advice to people in between jobs, and i was bawling by the end.
Fighting ! :)
Great episode! This was probably the best one.
Jedong should have his own show, we could learn a lot from him.
The best episode so far. I'm struggling too, I hope everyone who is struggling will always be strong no matter what. Yeoreobun, eusoyo!
I love how the guests have hope.Never give up!
thank you for such amazing speech kim jaedong, and im so inspired by it..
Awesome Episode !! Loved it !!
Greetings from Vienna, Austria :-)
it's a great episode. i've learnt a lot. thank you, kbs. I Am A Man fighting !!!! can't wait for next ep
i love this show, i hope theres a season 2 in the future.
never knew this ep would make me cry as much!
I've graduated in 2008 and I'm still struggling to get a proper job.
Being extreme inarticulate and introvert, I found it is hard to be hired as I failed to win interviewer's heart. TT_TT
good luck ❤️
What are the reasons for rejections?
Im also an introvert but Im still studying TT Good luck
e r I think it's much the same as ***** has mentioned. I often stumble and lost my words during the interview, no matter how much I've been prepared and practicing the Q&A. Do you e r have any tips for me?
heads up
one of my favourite tv show.. my sisters , friends and i really was really enjoying to watch 'em . but this was serious and i learned a lot from Kim Jedong. Thank you KBS for this show and for this episode, hope to see more and more from this show FIGHTING !!
Can't wait for "I Am A Woman" special!! x) x)
Kim Jedong you wonderful human being
This episode made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside hahahahaha.
I didn't know this show could make me cry T_T
