I really like how respectful Jesse is to everyone. There is something about the way he compliments each person. He really seems to take his time analyzing the person and pointing out what makes them individually beautiful. For example, we he says "you have a great aesthetic going on here" or "you have made some strong fashion choices" sometimes this acknowledgement can mean so much.
He is always so NICE! It’s wonderful to see him continually stay so sincere and earnest.
The episode where he and his Russian friend did nude portraits was so beautiful and he expressed so much vulnerability I’ve not looked at him the same since.

As a freelance model myself, I knew cut was not going to make it easy and focus only on fashion models. Props to them for only casting 2 people (one of whom was the guesser) who look like traditional models.
I agree, although I do think it makes things a little easiest to guess (not a bad thing). I'm not in any way a model, or affiliated with the modelling world (not likely to happen sadly) but I got 5/6 right - the only one I was wrong about with the older blonde fitness model. (This is way more than I usually get!) I feel like that's less based on my preconceptions of models, and more based on my preconceptions of what kind of people Cut would choose to represent models / non-models. I thought the tall athletic blonde was a little too "obvious" and would turn out to be something like a fitness trainer or body expert, rather than a model. The others I was pretty much dead on about.
Well yeah they have a formula and they follow it, but they always play safe with it. Instead of getting stereotypicalp fashion models, they get stereotypical models from other industries. Some wine mom being a fitness model, almost white passing poc fashion model or feminine introverted male model isn't ground breaking. I don't see how this warrants credit. They'll get a more diverse group because people would get bored of watching the same content, but they're never gonna do anything interesting with it.
@@H0lyMoley good guessing strategy! Lol I think it was harder for me because I am a freelance model, so I have a LOT of knowledge of what bookings are available for “non traditional” looking models. And in my circles, the fitness model and the male high school student would have very very few opportunities to work. (The woman because of her apparent age and the boy because he’s on the small side) So I never would have guessed that they are models. I would actually love to talk to them and and them about how and where they book work, just because it’s a topic that interests me as a “non traditional” model myself.
@@Dawid-wc8sb these are not stereotypical though. For fitness, most castings still want younger models in their 30s and under. And the young boy being a little more feminine is fine, but he is also on the short side, which is not common among male models, no matter what subtype. The one that did kinda trick me was the alternative looking chick. She does look like many alternative models who I’ve seen before. None of the others except for the Asian fashion model, look similar to models who I have seen before (freelance or agency)
@@WishAtElevenEleven I'm sure you have a lot more experience in modelling than me so i dont mean to sound arrogant, but just from thinking back to random media I've consumed I just don't agree. When it comes to the gay femboy subtype they're never tall, that type is always cast as the least threatening "cute" type dude. And boujee older skinny white women is exactly what comes to mind when I think of fitness models. Isn't that every fitness model on like any advert ever lol? I remember gta satirising that at least.
And this happens in every one of these videos. They always add subtypes but never anomalies if that makes sense. I mean if I told you there was gonna be a black female model before you watched it you'd probably assume it'd be a tall skinny lightskinned girl with straight hair and a valley girl vibe no? It just feels like it's surface level done for the sake of it and it's not interesting
everyone is talking about Jesse (and don't get me wrong he is amazing) but I find the girl who is a model to have a very attractive personality, and one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen
