So I'm just gonna say it, those machines literally only have 2k worth of $1, $5, $10's in them. I worked for the company that serviced the money and devices from the machine.

I would definitely try to charge it and see if you can get it to turn on and maybe we'll give you something because it seems like that's the mistake that a lot of people make they bring their phones with no charge.

No if it had no response to charging or access to he device it’s a 90% chance it’s the logic board. That holds the most expensive parts of the phone and without it it’s literally a paperweight. Another chance is the charging flex assembly but they are pretty hard to break so it’s unlikely

Instead of getting rid of it just see how much it would cost to replace the screen and fix it. It's quite dumb to try and sell it after your girlfriend broke up with you. You are lucky anyways that the machine didn't give you any money for it because those things are a major rip off, it gives you a whole lot less than what you paid for the phone. One word of advice: stay far away from the Eco ATM machines they'll do nothing but disappoint you.
And after this they rejected it and stole your firmware number
