That being said, mnk allows you to aim, because aim is hand-eye coordination and you can actually coordinate your hands and your eyes with mnk. On roller, I would say I'm not aiming as much. Roller only allows you to coordinate your thumbs, so it's not aiming (hand-eye coordination) your crosshair as much as it is nudging (thumb-eye coordination) your crosshair. An input device that allows you to use your entire arm, hand and all your fingers to coordinate and control your crosshair is objectively better at aiming than a device that can only make use of your fingers. That's why aim assist exists for roller. It's a simple fact. This isn't controversial. Therefore, roller is for people who can't aim (not necessarily because of skill but because the hardware that is an analog stick on a roller is not capable of "aiming" in the sense I described above). it has to make it easier to compete with mnk, imitating hand-eye aiming movements by modifying thumb-eye nudging inputs. On roller, the only thing that gets you to aim is the assistance given by aim assist, so against mnk it's cheating as far as I'm concerned REGARDLESS of outcome. Even if mnk players still win 90% of fights, it doesn't matter. The principle remains that roller is bad for aiming skill expression and has to make up for it with AUTOMATED modifying of inputs. LMAO
