In the US, the law states that major buildings and especially public services must be equipped with wheelchair accessible methods. The law must equally provide some kind of protection in the transit service industry for those with reduced sensory input or cognitive processing ability.
Furthermore, the disability employment gap should be reduced by uber and other companies hiring persons with paralysis and such to form teams specifically meant to track, monitor, and protect users with disabilities that may be vulnerable to mistreatment more than others.
While we obviously all want to advance the blanket idea of a barrier free world where people with any disabling condition (sensory or otherwise) are included, integrated, and valued, this is a perfect chance to use specific cases to advance the cause.
