I would hate to be NECROS’ brain because I really don’t get how he can comprehend his quick dash flicks. It’s insane that he’s that quick with genji’s movements.
It takes a while but you learn to not use your eyes in real time to keep track of people but instead remember where people are, were and will be, to dash to them a get the kill. This is one of the main reasons I main him.

Played some months of OW2 and stopped playing.
Watched some recent OW1 necros genji montage a week ago now I'm watching this.
I remember why I hate OW2 it sucks compared to the original. These plays aren't nearly as fun and you can tell the speed of everything is slower.

I think that Necros has aged, right now he is not as fast as before and does not miss so often :(

overwatch 2 genji has slower dash, impossible to look as fast as ow1
Dash animation is also different. ow 1 second dash has no animation if you are fast, but overwatch 2 have because they 'fix' it even if players like it and its harmless
Maybe, truth is, genji needs a rework... He is only played by people who just love the character and can't let go. He is not viable in terms of meta and Damage output.
His primary is very slow. Now with the nerfs, it is even more difficult to hit, even up close, where he should shine the most
Devs were right, they said much of his powers are relaying on his blade. They thought about buffing him in other ways, but i guess that will come much later.
If i were them...
First, i would swap his primary fire for his secondary.
Then
Remove his now secondary for a (Sword Slash). Just like his ultimate animation but reduce the damage.
"That way he has more damage when he's up close, a better option that is easy to use and a new combo (example: Shuriken->Dash->SLASH then either shuriken or melee)
A work on cooldown of such ability is necessary, to be strong, not broken. I thought on a 8 second cooldown.
His now new primary fire, Which is when he shoots his shurike in a spread arc. Will re-use the animation on kiriko's, making it fit Genji better, with the same fire rate and speed as hers kunais.
Also his shurikens won't spread more after a certain range. So it can remain more consistant with it's burst damage.
"This make for more precise shots and allows flicking to actually be a thing on Genji.
How many times have you tried to kill an opponent close to you, and when you shot, the shurikens would spread so wide not touching the enemy's body, even up close. Yea let's change that."
Also Revert his damage and ammo.
Give him 1 extra blade slash on his ultimate and fix its current animation bug
I thought about buffing his health but that might be too much

@@rynxzy8910 that's not true, it's the same thing. Only thing they removed is ghost dash animation cancel which is still possible but you have to do it slower which removes it's purpose imo

I have to say it but I feel his skill decreased after overwatch 2 he used to be way faster he lost some skill for sure hopefully he gets better again one day
he hasnt lost skill. its just the genji dash animation is different and is slower

its cuz he gets bored of fighting constantly for rank one and staying the highest, so he redoes the climb

Well those two when they started overwatch 2 i had them in my mind as equals. Necros and shadder I mean. Now its confirmed that shadder is better and always higher ranked . Without a pocketed mercy does things that blows your mind and he is still rank 1 and always at top 10
Not anymore lol. Necros is litterly rank 1 DPS and every time they meet necros diff shadder without dmg boost and he even does it when it is a 1v3. Necros still gets 5k without a mercy and both uses pocket mercy. Shadder got top 10 last 2 seasons cuz he played torb a lot
