    I've got a 95 G10 with 32x11.50s in the front and 33x12.50s in the back with no lift at all. However the fenders are cut to hell and the fronts do rub if you cut it sharp. Also I had to remove the outer bumper brackets because the tires rubbed on them as well, but I eventually built an offroad bumper so it didn't matter in the end anyway. I'm definitely looking into getting it lifted in the front at least to get the crossmember off the ground more.

    Also, what shocks did you use in the back?
    Could you guys leave a link in the description for parts?

    Now you have two choices red and black like the A-Team van or paint it like a mystery machine.

    • @Brochachichoppers
      @Brochachichoppers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those have been done too much. Im more interested in individual creativity than copying someone else’s work. Both A-team and the Mystery Machine are really cool Vans though.

    • @Brochachichoppers

      They're C20 truck coil spacers available in a few thicknesses on ebay

    Good info. Did you have any problems getting it aligned after the lift?

    • @Brochachichoppers
      @Brochachichoppers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not aligned yet, but there's shims needed for the upper control arm. Maybe even longer bolts.

    • @Yugo-CA
      @Yugo-CA ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Brochachichoppers I know its been some time, but could you tell me how the alignment went? What if any parts did you have to purchase and install to get it aligned? I just got a 95 g30 and Im about to buy new tires and 2" coil spacers for just the front to make the whole thing level and before doing this I would really appreciate your input. Thanks!

    • @Brochachichoppers
      @Brochachichoppers  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Yugo-CA we did the good ol tape measure alignment using alignment shims from rockauto. They come in different thicknesses. It’s a bit of trial and error but it’s very easy to do. Please note this is not a racecar by any means so we didn’t worry too much about perfect alignment.

    • @Brochachichoppers

    What year was this van? The parts get a lot less interchangeable with trucks after like 1991 or somewhere in there.

    My G30 has 31 inch tires on its old tired suspension still. My next project is new springs and bilstien shocks. Then ill go solid front axel but keep 2WD and run 33s.

      few questions,
      Did it align?
      Did you do the same spring spacer as these guys?
      Did you put the BFG LT265/75R16?
      Did you change gears?
      Are they noisy on the highway?

    • @Brochachichoppers
      @Brochachichoppers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you’d put bigger lift coil spacers in the front i think you can clear 32’s.. you will need some serious aligning though

    • @dexterlecter7289
      @dexterlecter7289 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Brochachichoppers I wonder what’s going on here. I have a 1982 chevy G30. It’s technically a “bonaventure” but looks like a typical “ sportsvan” with normal, not the fancy ones, all around and a slider door. Might be extended wheel base. But I am clearing 31 inch tires on the 1982 suspension which I know is sagging. I could go 32 but I think the first big bump it’d hit the front wheel well on top. My plan is 1.5 spacers and block for back so I can get 33 inch tires when these wear down. Or solid front axel just for the ease of lift, I’m not even close to needing 4X. With my locking rear diff and good tires I’ve driven on solid ice, deep snow, and mountain trails, van was a forest service rig 1982-2019 strangely enough.

    Next time take the lower shock bolt out, lower ball joint with jack under control arm, drops out. Install the same way. Too many steps.
