    Back light was not working due to speaker obstructing it.

    Did you have to mill the frame to allow a speaker to fit?? Also, is there really a power keeper built in to the N scale board??

      nope didnt have to mill the frame for speaker but im going to try a different speaker,because the speaker doesn't sound that great and yes it has power keeper built into it just like the ones for HO scale..

    Does the frame have to be milled or modified at all to accept the blank decoder, with no speaker?

      Nope but make sure u get the right decoder

      But if u get a loksound speaker like I did you have to do soming work in the back of the Shell not much just a little bit the sound poop speaker anit great I do have a video when I did the upgrade to the loksound speaker

      I'd say just the plain 58741...just to slide in as a 'motor-only' decoder, for the Kato N SD70ACE.
