    I have a pair of socks with a hole and your video came at just the perfect time. Wow, you are the master! I’m so impressed at how you mended the hole, but gave me heart palpitations wondering if I could do my mending. One thing I’m sure, I need to watch your video several times before embarking on this projects. Thanks so much.l

      My dear Nilda, it is a fairly straightforward process. I have no doubts that you will master it in no time. Happy mending, my friend :-)

    Hi Maryna! This is brilliant! You are amazing! I’m not sure I’d be brave enough to do this, lol! I think I may do a swatch and try it just for fun. I just might surprise myself or maybe not!😂😂. Thank you for another fantastic tutorial! Have a wonderful weekend!💗

      Thank you, Thea😊 I agree - there is something wickedly fun about cutting through a knitted fabric. Give it a try 😉

    Nice, hope I never need it😅
    Just realized how much I like your videos besides your clear explanation also because of the design. The use of yellow on blue background, no distractions and stitches are very clearly visible. In my list of videos your thumbnails also really stand out.

    Thank you so much for this! I just struggled through patching my sweater after cutting it. This is so much easier to do than the way I understood/misunderstood someone telling me in words alone. Bless you!

    That is absolutely brilliant Maryna. Oh, the holes is socks that I have darned over all the years! If only I'd known this relatively simple way of fixing those dreaded holes! Thank you so much.

    WoW! Just wonderful!! Thank you! I was a little confused that you had 4 stitches and the bottom and 3 at the top. I’ll have to rewatch how you did your Kitchener stitches in the end 😉

    • @10rowsaday
      @10rowsaday  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you, Gisele :-) The 4 stitches at the bottom are joined to the 3 full stitches + 2 half-stitches at the top. Happy knitting, my friend!

    Maryn, thank you for this. Could you do one for garter stitch? I have a blanket border in garter stitch that has to be mended and I can't find a decent tutorial.

    • @10rowsaday
      @10rowsaday  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Charlotte. The approach is the same for any stitch pattern. To make a patch in garter stitch, knit all stitches instead of purling when you turn the work upside down to work a wrong-side row. Happy knitting :-)

    Do you have a version for super fine knits? Store bought machine knits where i dont have a knitting needle of an appropriate size?

    • @10rowsaday
      @10rowsaday  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Grace. This method works the same on all yarns. I demonstrated it on a thicker yarn to make it easier for you to see every step, but you can use this method to mend fine-knitted store-bought items as well. It helps to have a set of thin knitting needles, but you can also use a pair of toothpicks, a pair of long sewing needles, or similar household objects to substitute the knitting needles. It won't be as comfortable as using the needles, but it will be doable if you mend a small hole. For a bigger hole, it could be worth getting a set of thin knitting needles, especially if your mending will save an expensive cashmere, merino or silk sweater. Good luck!
