Hmm...I'm going to guess that the mat here is more like an 11 x 13 outer with a 5 x 7 opening...because at first he says 'to bevel cut a 3" opening' then later says 'you'll have a perfectly beveled, 3" bordered mat'. Just an observation. Anyway, the 301S looks like a good system.
For this model 301-S, I need to unscrew the 4 screws on the sides of the guide bar in order to adjust size of the cut and the tension of the paper.
Please give us a call, as we do not recommend you loosen the 4 screws on either side of the cutting bar. We can be reached at 847-526-5515.
