sm the pioneers of kpop
SM artists paved the way
rewatching this performance after seeing the 2011 stage special (the sound of hallyu) and realizing how careless and simple the company has become... this was simply a performance of their uncut groups but they didn't show nothing that we didn't already know about these idols, nor compared to the piece of art that was the other version where they showed us the diverse talents of their artists, covers and spectacular rhythms.
Hopefully one day it will return to that quality, because it is sad to see how the company cares more about its unfunny universe than in managing all the talent they have well.
I stan all of SM's groups since 2009 and I'm just so used to the disservice the company does to the fans and their older groups that I hate them but can't deny the talent they produce.
They just know how to train, develop, and constantly improve their talents. I mean, look at Taemin and Taeyong. They were considered "talentless" when they started out. Joy was supposed to be a rapper but is now a vocal. Most of their groups are considered as "CD eating" groups. Super Junior is practically a main stay in various shows as hosts.
Then the company also has a lot of talents that give back to society through donations and actual volunteer work.
I just really want SM to take care of the groups I came to love, you know?
