When you talked about her curiosity and being brave it made me think of my daughters favorite movie Brave. The main character's name is Merida. She is a spunky brave princess. Your girl seems spunky and brave as well.

I'm a Thoroughbred trainer of many years, on and off track for showing and pleasure. She is going to be a hunk with development, her neck is set on beautifully and with dressage would develop considerably. She seems pretty reasonable looking how she responds in a new place. I am familiar with the horse that Fallon Taylor won the 2019 Thoroughbred makeover as I knew his former owners in Oregon and he was racing at Portland Meadows.

What.about 'lady' She reminds me of a warmblood/stock horse i ride who is a real gentleman but given his chilled out personality he is so easy to ride. To establish a name you have to see their personalities but maybe she is a true lady of leisure, being relaxed, cooperative & intelligent
I often get stuck on "color" names...so Quicksilver is my suggestion. I think she's gorgeous and has an ENORMOUS amount of soul----Great Souls are beyond caring about competitions, like silly race tracks---but I bet she'll give you 200% HEART and commitment to whatever you feel her work is to be. Being Calm and Self-Possessed is definitely not the same as "lazy".

I started to guess she was gray. At 16.2 and only 2 yrs old, she may grow to be 17 hands. Seems to have a sensible demeanor so far for a 2 year old. What is her breeding? Couldn't find her on pedigree inquiry. Because she never raced, you could actually change her registered name with The Jockey Club if you wanted to.

However, there is a $125 fee to change it per their website. FYI - all Thoroughbreds must be registered within 12 months of their foaling date, and must be named by February 1st of their 2 year old year to avoid paying an additional fee. (I'm a former breeder.)
i just found your channel... what a wonderful girl! so curious and brave and CALM... and she LIKES people... she has a lovely step in her gait, if she could handle the precision demands she would do well in dressage as her step is gorgeous, just a tony bit of training and you would have a beautiful hoof lift... but with her being so very remarkably CALM for a TB and liking people, i wonder if she would be a good therapy horse?
