Almost none of the weapons make it east of the Dnieper, they are blown up in warehouses and trains all over Ukraine. Ukrainian troops are mostly dead or wounded. The situation is so bad that Ukrainian women are breeding with Russian men and making Russian babies. They are taught to laugh at the disabled Ukrainians and kick sand in their faces when on the beaches.

Not extra. The $6B is part of the $61B aid package. They are now required to establish long term contracts for certain weapons for Ukraine. This should provide Ukraine with a steady supply of these weapons without waiting for a new aid bill.

Defense Secretary Austin JUST SAID it was extra money allocated on top of the $61 billion dollars that was left over from the Pentagon budget from the UDF=Ukrainian Defense Fund, that was not used in 2023. He said it was ADDITIONAL FUNDING TO THE $61 billion! Go back and listen to the press conference real carefully and slowly!!
A bit naive to believe funding for weapons manufacturing has been garunteed long term. And evan with any garuntee of longterm contracts that it would protect the export of them to ukraine

If they don't have enough supplies now, they will never have enough supplies. The West does not have the productive capacity.

Well, if it was the last package, it'd be a strong reason to try hard to advance. Just holding the lines requires less supply in the short term, but a lot more in the long term.

Several Senators have said there will be no further package, plus the Senate has a good chance of having a republican majority next year. As to the current support, a poll was released today in the US showing 29% favor decreasing aid to Ukraine, 28% favor increasing support, and 26% believe the present amount of help is good.

Ukrainians fought in the streets, from the trees, behind dirt mounds, and out of blown out windows. Ukraine refused to stop fighting, even when things looked hopeless, and people riding bicycles were lined up and shot. Ukraine refused to give up, even when America and Europe said that they wouldn't last a week. Ukraine has reinvented warfare, so that even the American military is studying and learning from them now. And, I think that ALL of the world now understands, that it is essential that Ukraine survives.

Russia attacked (and destroyed) a train full with new (US?) weapons :( The train was in or nearby Udatschne which is at the western part of Donezk Oblast, 70km north-west of Donezk and 13km west of Pokrowsk. Russia also targeted railroad infrastructure in Charkiw Oblast...so this military package from the US with Patriot system(s?) and patriot rockets is very good! Germany is preparing to send its 3rd Patriot Battery, Spain wants to send a system or at least rockets for it, Greece disagreed to help....lets hope we find some other Patriot Systems in Europe/Nato for Ukraine!
US also is increasing its production of 155mm artillery shells to 1 Million rounds per year for 2025 and an 20% increase in Patriot production! Lets hope Patriot production will be even increased stronger as European countries like Germany ordered systems to replace these it gave to Ukraine and some other countries want to buy systems for Ukraine (Netherland) and I guess the US will replace what it gave away too....

Why should we apologize for our tax money being sent overseas for nation building? Is that the normal practice nowadays? It should have been spent here on healthcare, instead of funding Ukrainian healthcare, which apparently, unlike the US, has universal Healthcare. Os happy that we are finally supporting our allies! A one time package limits what can be done because you never know when the next package will come. But having something with longer term support will really help with having an actual strategy that can be committed to!

Hitler had advanced almost to Moscow, but he destroyed his military doing so. It isn't territory taken, but what one has left to hold it. While Putin can lose more soldiers than Ukraine, it is a war Russians don't appear to want to be in.

This year is expected to be challenging, despite the aid that has been passed. It's arriving late to a dire situation, so now focus should be on damage control. It's crucial to maintain support, through donations and other means, as the need will persist. We must avoid the mistake of thinking that once aid is passed, everything is resolved. This is a battle of resilience, and the aid, particularly in the early stages, will mainly serve to mitigate the existing damage and pave the way for recovery.
Delusional at best. The aid won't help if Ukrainians like Denys are not willing to defend their country. Without a huge mobilization, Ukraine is defeated with or without US aid.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces also fled from Novokalinovo, which was practically surrounded by lunchtime, and decided to focus their desperate efforts on holding strongholds between Keramik and Ocheretino...It is critically important for the Ukrainian command to hold them, since there are no particularly convenient defense lines in the north. But it will be difficult for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to keep them. After all, the Russian Armed Forces have already reached their flanks, both left and right. The front in this area is being destroyed at an ever increasing rate.

The Russians have sent cruise missiles against rail hubs, perhaps to cut off supplies of Western military equipment. At the same time, Ukraine's defense is suffering from a lack of combat-ready soldiers.
Except the supplies aren't trying to enter via those rail hubs - wrong end of the country.
