"Gaudeamos Igitur" always brings sentimental mode to me. Recently my daughter graduated from High School and when they played this song, tears was suddenly fell down onto my face.
Beautiful song and the they way they played it in this video was amazing !!! I really wish i could have chance to see similar performance live - somewhere, someday.

Only discovered Mr. Rieu a few months ago but have become a totally devoted fan. He just seems to have more fun than the law allows just doing what he does and he seems so very happy to share it with us all. Salute from Texas.

In froehlicher Erinnerung meiner Teilnahme am HD-Sommerferienkurs der Deutschen Sprache im August 1967. Von ungefähr 700 Teilnehmern waren nur 5 Personen englischsprachig, d.h. ich, zwei Iren und zwei Engländer. Insgesamt waren 350 Gäste aus Frankreich und viele aus Italien. Ich behalte immer noch die Urkunde, und neuerdings feierte das Jubiläum in Bristol der Alumni der Universität GB-Manchester. Mein Diplom in Metallkunde 1966 hatte Deutsch als Nebenfach. Dieses Lied hält alles zusammen!
Aprendí ese himno "Gaudeamos Igitur"cuando era estudiante de la Universidad del Norte en Barranquilla (Colombia). Nuestra Directora era doña Miryam Pantoja de Rojas. Muy buenos tiempos. La nostalgia invade mi ser.

Ich wurde mir wünschen, das die Stadt Wien im Wiener Stadtpark ein Pondaun zum Denkmal von Johann Strauß aufstellt vom neuen Walzerkoenig Andre Rieu! Leute stimmt dafuer den das ist eine große Wuerdigung fuehr ihm!
Das ist zusammengeschnitten. Mal stehen sie auf dem Kornmarkt, dann am Brückentor und dann im Schloßhof. Die wollten halt so viele schöne Postkartenmotive aus dem romantischen Heidelberg mit reinpacken wie nur möglich.
