Just when I thought Sunglasses Marek couldn’t possibly get any cooler… those new sunglasses are something else! 🌈😮 And I must say, my jalapeño guessing skills are pretty cool too. Walk looks awesome - and lovely having Rowan along too! Thanks, Cool Dudes 😁👍🦢😎🦆💗🐟
The rainbow ones were absolutely epic. I need to suggest a new cool dude tier to pay direct to sunglasses Marek, in exchange for him wearing those all the time. 😄
Great video. The walk from Shawford to Winchester is one of my favourite walks. You do get great views from St Catherine's Hill, but it is a slog to get up it. Stay cool!
Oh yes, the legend returns, and nice to see you too Marek 😁😉 May have paused at the rainbow and heart sunglasses, just so I could fully appreciate the majesty before me 😂😂
Quite pleased to guess the correct amount of jalapenos before the options came up I couldn't possibly have prepared for those first sunglasses haha nice one Rowan
It looked like a pike to me. I always wanted to go on the Adventure Game to see if I could beat the Vortex. I also find a lack of benches, and always thought that benches should be marked on maps.
This is favourite local walk, which I do at least 3 times a year. I’d recommend walking on a week day when it’s quieter and starting in Winch, then climb St Catherine’s Hill to see the mizmaze then stop at the Steamtown Brewery in (B)Eastleigh that does great beers and burgers before catching your train home. If I could be on a TV game show I’d like to be on Sale of the Century as I’m a big fan of R4’s “Just a Minute” and the Comic Strip’s “Mr Jolly Lives Next Door” so I could meet Nicholas Bloody Parsons. PS also guessed right on the 6 japapeno’s in the sarnie quiz too
I have always wanted to go on The Crystal Maze, with Richard O'Brien. I would mostly like to go in the Crystal Dome and would be scared of the automatic lock-in ones or the one with the massive spider though.
I think I would find the time limit on the Crystal Maze too stressful and would worry about getting brain freeze and being locked in. The end bit inside the crystal looked cool though.
Ooooh big thumbs up to the person wearing the Nothing but thieves t shirt at the end! If I was on a gameshow it would be one where you wouldn't need to know about general knowledge because I'm awful at it. Family fortunes looks fun.
Question of the day answer; a gameshow called Classic Concentration. Honestly one of the smarter gameshows I had seen that was also a lot of fun! Also Strawberry laces are back! Woot!?
Great walk, have done stretches of the river walk but not the whole walk yet. It's fun watching people swimming down the river as well as cool fish, thank u both for sharing :)
I used to change the lyrics from to 'people are coming, everyone's trying' to 'people are dying, everyone's crying'. I was about 13 at the time though.
97?! That's incredible, Rowan must be good luck. I thought Kent was known for its chalk streams, what a load of crap. They're probably everywhere and the Kent river people are full of it.
Yes I always wanted to go on Blockbusters. Bob Holness was an excellent host. I also loved the urban myth that he played the saxophone on Baker Street.
That walk is the northern part of the Itchen Navigation. I ran the whole route from Winchester right down into Southampton last year. Its about 11 miles in total if you wanted to do the whole thing next time.
Were the jalapeno's in the cabbie's sandwich whole or sliced? Maybe you should try cheese and jalapeno sandwiches on your next walk Marek? You could then work up through hotter chilies on subsequent walks.
Holy-Moly forget the mount of Jalapenos in the drivers sandwich, how many sausage sandwiches did you have in that bag for lunch? I counted at least 6,000 .Beautiful part of the country to walk around CD.
There were some great new pair of sunglasses for sunglasses Marek Lovely walk! Rowan is fun and lovely! I really like walking along canals and water in general, so this was great to watch 🤩 I have no great knowledge of old British gameshows, but perhaps Weakest Link? 🙂
Other than the train mishap and the busy roads at the start, that looked like a really nice walk cool dudes - always great to see some wildlife too! Had I not been as shy a child as I was, I would have loved to have been part of a team on one of the first few series of Knightmare before it got too silly with the likes of the Eye Shield and Pickle. Ooh... Nasty! In more recent times I could have had the opportunity to take part in Knightmare Live, which I have seen a number of times, but I am still somewhat shy as an adult. I don't suppose any of those guys are likely to join you for a walk sometime or maybe your Film Fandango friends? That's not to say that Carlos, Rowan and other recent companions haven't been entertaining. Stay cool
Aww, I'm quite fond of Eastleigh! When I was a kid we'd go there with my Grandparents (they lived just up the line near Botley.) Me and my Mum had a very random encounter there once! I got my ears pierced there for the first time when I was 8 and the lady who did it had the same name as my Dads first wife! (They married young and she left him shortly after. It didnt take me long in life to understand why!!) Anyway, both her first name and our surname aren't that common so it was really weird she was called the same! Pretty sure it wasn't actually her, but Eastleigh is not that far from Portsmouth, which is where they were from, so there's always a chance!!
Good to see Soton & Eastleigh again. A great uplifting & fun video from you both with lovely scenery along the way too. Look forward to seeing more South East Walks. Gameshows: Hole in the wall & It's a knockout.
Rowan seems great laugh...what she doing @2:58 an eyebrow dance 😊and weird noise @5:53 😂 Obviously 6 jalapenos as nobody has 4 and never pick the middle answer 👍 Duck God ??? Thought you were more Game show has to be CelebAbility cos our Chief Cool Dude would let me win As for the fish yeah looked like what a pike would look like 🤔
@@cdwc What!!!!! 😲Life as we know it will never be the same Chief Cool Dude. Can I make do with The Price Is Right ....'Come on down' always made me laugh 😂
Rowan is so good XD *almost* equal to Carlos for best guest. Guessed right on the jalapeños, quite chuffed for that. Also when the ducks all went to you instead of Rowan, i felt that on a personal level. I feel like that happens to me so often hahaha. As for the game show question, i think id really like some of the 90s nickelodeon game shows. Obstacle courses and slime all over the place, but i would probably severely injure myself if i attempted them now a days.
Alright! Good cool walking marek. my mom says the fish is a "brown river fish". She used to work in a chippy so she knows her fish and potatoes. Thanks and keep on walking
The only bad thing about this walk was the fancy posh crisps. Should be eating Ready Salted (Salt and Vinegar at a push) - even better if they're Walkers due to the highly amusing pun.
When I was very little I wanted to go on ‘Crackerjack’. CRACKERJACK! I wanted to hold as many toys and board games as I could in my arms to take home with me. Getting gunged looked like the worst thing ever. Didn’t envy those adults
Did she really call you Sir Larwood? I mean if anyone deserves a knighthood, it’s you Marek but I was just wondering if you’re going to make it official?
I literlly punched the air in jubilation at the coreectly guessed 6 jalapenos but tbf it was the only logical answer (alright Spock bag it won't you). Blankety Blank maybe?
The ducks obviously knew The Duck God🦆 had a Sausage Sandwich in his rucksack! Waiting for the breadcrumbs! Tell Rowan it's got to be Bullseye🎯. I used to throw a mean dart in my youth. And I would love to have won a speedboat (with nowhere to put it) at the end of the show''Your bully's are safe''Rowan has a good taste in sunglasses. Fun walk. Thoroughly enjoyed that one...she's good for you Marek..!!! x J x
@@cdwc Jeez....I meant the bread Marek! I think the might mean indigestion all round (quack, hic, burp). I can't imagine what would happen if the guy with the 6 jalapenos sandwich shared it with the ducks though....Q-U-A-A-A-A-C-K
You guys pack the best packed lunches EXCEPT Rowan’s soft cheese and pickle combo. Egregious. Hard cheeses only with pickle. I’d love to go on Pointless and have applied to no avail . Maybe see you on Pointless Celebrities sometime, Marek?
Just checked and my high score for the year is 75 (a summer walk around Grasmere), although there's a chance I miscalculated (apparently I saw a giant redwood, but don't remember that at all!). Look forward to not having to add up my own points so much going forward, with your new app!
Love Rowan! You are a great duo 🙂
Definitely a pike, but don't tell him your name 😂😂 I would go on crackerjack.😊
Yep two cool dudes x
@@cdwc
I'd love to have a swim in that river. Looks heavenly!
I have never seen a river that clean in my life.
Great to see Rowan adding a touch of glamour.....wheel of fortune for me 👍🏻
I begrudgingly enjoyed you on this classic walk. I think that was a Barracuda.
Just when I thought Sunglasses Marek couldn’t possibly get any cooler… those new sunglasses are something else! 🌈😮
And I must say, my jalapeño guessing skills are pretty cool too.

Everyone seems to have gone for six jalapeños! Who is mental enough it to have six?!? I think my head would explode.
The rainbow ones were absolutely epic. I need to suggest a new cool dude tier to pay direct to sunglasses Marek, in exchange for him wearing those all the time. 😄
0:41 I stayed in that Travelodge a few years ago for a family wedding. really fell in love with the town.
Eastleigh or Winchester?
Eastleigh.@@cdwc
Brill! He turned up this morning and he’s adorable. Cheers Marek!
Another good walk.
I'd like to have had a go at the krypton factor, mainly for the assault course... mainly for the zipline at the end of it. 😄
I completely forgot about the Krypton Factor! The whole show was just sitting through the boring stuff for the assault course bit.
Great video. The walk from Shawford to Winchester is one of my favourite walks. You do get great views from St Catherine's Hill, but it is a slog to get up it. Stay cool!
I will definitely do it next time Cool Dude.
Oh yes, the legend returns, and nice to see you too Marek 😁😉 May have paused at the rainbow and heart sunglasses, just so I could fully appreciate the majesty before me 😂😂
The sunglasses are worth about one million pounds.
I like this walk. St Catherine’s Hill is worth the effort but I always have a mini heart attack by the time I get to the top
I regret not going up there in retrospect. I bet it is great to paint from.
Quite pleased to guess the correct amount of jalapenos before the options came up
I couldn't possibly have prepared for those first sunglasses haha nice one Rowan
Six jalapenos in one sandwich! That is a lot though right.
@@cdwc I was thinking slices but six full jalapenos is far too many.. How big is this sandwich?!
It looked like a pike to me. I always wanted to go on the Adventure Game to see if I could beat the Vortex. I also find a lack of benches, and always thought that benches should be marked on maps.
I agree strongly about benches. There is nothing worse than stopping for lunch on a bit of damp ground only to see a bench 100 yards down the road.
This is favourite local walk, which I do at least 3 times a year. If I was on a gameshow it would be one where you wouldn't need to know about general knowledge because I'm awful at it. Family fortunes looks fun.
There is always the nagging fear on game shows that you say something stupid and it becomes part of tv folklore forever.
What a great looking walk... I may give that one a go!
It is excellent cool dude.
Fun house… those unbelievably slow go karts were a vibe
Question of the day answer; a gameshow called Classic Concentration. Honestly one of the smarter gameshows I had seen that was also a lot of fun!

The strawberry laces are usually there, just sometimes they don’t make the edit. Ha.
One needs docile waters for pooh sticks. Would love to join one of your walks, such a clever and healthy idea for mind and body. ❤

After seeing the Pike it put me off swimming in the river. :spotters:
