Honestly the mage combat is so fun! It's also really nice to finally have an action combat game to play after I've played nothing but BG3 and Pathfinder WOTR for over a year 😂
Loving this game so far! Playing a dwarven reaper from the mourn watch and using the shield toss ability as much as possible. It's the first time a sword and board warrior has been fun for me. Elven spell blade antivan crow is definitely my next play through
I really like the flashy combat! I already made 3 characters and been enjoying the grey warden and the rogue a lot. I didn't dabble with mage enough yet but I will try it after I make some progress with the other characters. Thanks jay for the video!
@@Shuffffff I’m liking it so far, I’ll have to see how it holds up in the late game but so far it’s been pretty fun. The only criticism I have is the art style doesn’t feel dark fantasy like the prior dragon age games, and the Qunari look silly. But other than that it’s pretty good
I’m enjoying it, I’ve only just recruited Lucanis but it seems solid so far. The art style definitely takes a bit to get used to but all in all I’m liking the game and where the story is going. The environments I’ve seen so far are gorgeous though, I thought the city of Antiva was beautiful.
@@JasonDunnayeah I can’t wait to go back and be able to explore it more once I get a bit further in. I’ve heard act three is really good so looking forward to seeing what that’s like.
@ Andromeda and Anthem were critical failures, but this game has been pretty fun so far! I’ll be posting more videos of it so you can make a judgement call on it. October releases usually get a sale around Christmas time
I got the rooks coffer edition pre ordered with a physical copy of the game on ps5. I know the game has a fair amount of controversy.. but i wanna play myself to get a proper opinion. I am already buying the game regardless of review scores. Im too big a fan to just ignore it. Harding is also my canon choice romance. I only have 3 things i want from this game: How solas is handled Hardings story How the inquisition/inquisitor is handled The game has many issues already but as long as those 3 things above are dealt with properly and in a way i like, then i hope to enjoy my time with it.
i actually really like the conbat. its fun and snappy. But even the details in the animation of the mage's basic attack vs inquistion? idk i olayed a mage first in inquistion and they just felt boring/nit as fun as the others and couldnt really go back. But now anyone can ddge and its not locked behind a rogue ability? Idk. i just enjoy it more. I also realised why people dint like the art style: we cant really see details like pores. Wereso usedto it in games or a fortnite style but here it looks uncanny without it because were used to it. Also the design for the landscapes are beautiful. I feel like im okaying a remastered 2000's fantasy game. Even the character designs and animations remind me of Guild Wars 2 tbh
I was going to wait for a discount to buy the game, because I do not think it's worth full price. However, due to personal reasons I think I will enjoy a brain-dead game, so I bought it. I will finish Metaphor Refantazio first (AMAZING GAME, cant recommend enough, specially if you miss good writing), and then I will start my mage playthrough to have some stupid fun and laugh at the terrible dialogue of the game.
I’m really torn on playing this. The change in art style, the butchering of the qunari, and the bare minimum carry over from inquisition just don’t sit right
The art style isn’t terrible once you get playing it, but yea the Qunari have been changed for the worst. They look way too human. There are some cool options you can set up at the start based on how your DA inquisition ended, but I’m not sure how much it’ll actually impact the plot
@ yeah in general I don’t mind the art style, it’s just not dragon age. The couple reviews I’ve watched have said the choices you pick at the beginning from inquisition is really the bulk of it unfortunately
Immature ppl? How this is clearly DEI bs I’m a black guy but all the DEI and design changes ruined this game the ppl who care about that stuff isn’t even the main audience this game just doesn’t have the dark tone it had in previous games
I really thought that going with a warrior for the first play would made things easier (It did not lol) But kinda worked out considering it takes a bit of time toll you get a warrior companion apparently
I agree that combat is very dull, you don't feel any movesets but what is most ridiculous is that your companions don't have HP bars and they can't die. Also zero buildcrafting
That looks like fun thanks for the video I'll probably get the game now lol
Its better than I thought the game would be so far, going to work my way through it and see how it holds up over time
Honestly the mage combat is so fun! It's also really nice to finally have an action combat game to play after I've played nothing but BG3 and Pathfinder WOTR for over a year 😂
It’s pretty flash combat so far, I’m enjoying it! I really hope it keeps up this momentum

Love to hear it! I wanted to try that class out but probably second playthrough!
Love your content bro! Been watching your vids for like 2-3 months now and I watch your vids everyday!
Legend!! I appreciate the support so much. Have an awesome day!!

The mage is pretty flashy! I can see myself rolling 3 characters hahaha. It’s been a solid game so far
The combat style is so much fun. I play as a rogue and the maneuvers are so well executed. 🎉🎉
It’s been quite fun so far! I hope that it holds up over time
I love the combat doing 2 playthroughs at the moment a warden rouge which I love it's very fast and a shadow dragon mage which is awesome
Is it worth it? I've been seeing biased reviews by some immature ppl and I haven't seen any objective criticism yet.

@ that’s where I’m at too! The city was beautiful. So far so good, hopefully it can keep up this pacing
Just watch skill ups review never gonna find better more honest reviews than from him

Good luck reviewing this game, my guy.
I'm gonna wait for it to be discounted before trying it out
It’s surprisingly better than people are saying, but I’ll see how it holds up over time
@JasonDunna that's good to hear. I have trauma from Andromeda lol. I'm taking a seat on this one for further research.

@@JasonDunna that's the plan 😎
Where did you get the Necrotic orb so early? Need to go find that 😅
Just loot everything! I got an electric one now
@ okay yes I’ve been doing that and will keep at it for sure cause I’m sure I’ll stumble upon them very soon 😅
I’ve thoroughly been enjoying the game! I work in the afternoon so had to force myself to put it down 😂
It’s been such a surprisingly good game so far
Save your breath Jason we don't care about this game 👀
We're Baldur Gators 🐊

Yeah very well said, brain dead but fun combat and cringe writing. I actually just posted a Metaphor Refantazio video yesterday! Love that game
Are you gonna play monster hunter ?

Yeah I’m running 3 mages right now hahaha. The dodge roll is quite generous in this game and I’m a fan of souls games so that works out at least

Get dragon age origins with all dlc and its a better experience
That’s fair I prefer origins as well
Games ass don't give your money to this propaganda
tbh the gameplay seem dull and just can't stand the wokeness of this game 😅
Can you explain the wokeness to me?
