    The "fast steppers" of 1948 like Miss Canada III, My Sweetie, Miss Pepsi and others were still very competitive with the emerging 3-pointers of the day. One correction here; Miss Canada III, powered at this point by a RR Merlin, was designed by Douglas van Patten, not John L Hacker. The Wilsons and Hacker parted company after he designed the ill-fated Miss Canada II, the Wilsons' 1st Gold Cupper, in 1936. She was retired in favour of Miss Canada III, van Patten's 1st "keel knuckle" 3-step hydroplane, built in 1938 and powered then by a Miller V12.

    Love the footage! Is it possible to edit the video and quiet the music. I’d rather listen to the narration more and the music less. Thanks for posting this tho!
