Those things been around for a while. They first was used for the Buick/Olds/Pontiac/Cadillac 350's and 400's to adapt to a Chevy because they was more easy and cheaper to get then the Chevy one's
prancstaman I’m relieved to know I can repair my TH400 without needing to transfer everything to a different case and it’s a stronger design! Win Win! JD
That's the same one I have. I had to cut the top 2 ears off. I also had to add a 1/4 spacer because it changed my flex plate to converter distance. But you may not need to with that 400.
TPV Productions Interesting, they don’t mention anything in the instructions about it changing the converter engagement. I’m glad you mentioned it so we know to check it again! Dang another potential issue to deal with great! 😳😳😳🤦🏻♂️

Nope, I wasn’t paying the extra money at the time for the LS bell housing. I see now the universal bell is only $412.00 which is less than it used to be. The bell I bought works on traditional Chevy pattern. JD
cf mechanic They’re only $332.10 so if you can find free shipping and avoid State sales tax not bad. I got hit with Mo. State sales tax so it was $351.xx shipped, not horrible. JD

@@HeadFlowInc Not sure I have used it on other th350s and it was ok this th350 was the only unit I had an issue with.
