    This is one of the best resin tutorials i’ve seen yet. So informative and straight to the point, while giving crucial information in an easily digestible and relatable way. Much appreciated. And the end result is absolutely stunning!

    I don’t usually comment (I’m more of a TH-cam lurker, haha) but I have to say these are truly stunning! The colors are gorgeous. You make the whole process look so easy. I have all my supplies ready (minus the molds which I’m about to order) to go but I’ve been anxious to actually take the leap and do it. A lot of videos make the whole process look very complicated and challenging but yours was so user-friendly and inspiring. Thanks for the motivation/ insight. I look forward to seeing more of your lovely creations. Keep up the great work!

    I am binge watching these videos because I ordered this mold and you are legit the first video I watched that actually mentioned measurements. And such good explanation. I would really love to see you make more of these. Beautiful! TFS!

      Btw I would never guess this was your first tutorial. Everything was great! Also I think I heard you say you used acrylic paint? Did I miss how much for each color in those medicine cups? I don’t want to risk the chance of it not curing bc resin is so pricey. And what did you use for gold? Sorry for all the questions, I’m gonna watch it for the 3rd time and see if I missed it? No joke I’ve watched at least 25 videos of this same mold and yours was by far the most informative. And stunning piece💜

    Just beautiful! The only question I have is how did you fix the divet or the hole that was in one of them? You said you would show how to fix it, but I didn't see it. Would you just go back and flood coat it to fix it? I was also impressed by how steady your hand was at free handing the gold metallic pen down the sides. You did a excellent job. I think this pen wears off, so I'm going to flood coat mine, but that is just because I'm giving them as gifts and don't want the metallic paint wear off. I wish I could do it down the sides on the fronts like you did but I will just have to do the straight edges and the tops. THANK YOU. I subscribed and gave a thumbs UP!

    These look beautiful. I have Polycrylic, some reviews said the gold can scratch off even if it's sealed with Polycrylic...but I'm going to give it a try along with some other food safe varnish. It'll be good to compare effectiveness of both products. I love how easy Polycrylic is to use - it's a great product x

    Hi, can I use any type of Expoxy Resin? I am unsure what the difference is between them, would that affect the curing time?

    • @SunshineRosebugs
      @SunshineRosebugs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stephanie, most resin or epoxy is essentially about the same. I would be careful and make sure to use your personal protective equipment, like a face mask for any resin. I use Counter Culture Artist Resin/Epoxy and it is mixed 1 part resin to 1 part hardener. Most resins mix similiarly you just have to mix per the brands directions. Curing time can be different for different brands.

    So do you pour the clear resin to top it off after they dry for the 4-5 hours or while it is wet? And then let it dry completely for the 4-5 hours and pop it out?

    • @SunshineRosebugs
      @SunshineRosebugs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, clear resin in the mold on top after they have had 4 to 5 hours to set up.and then let dry for 5 to 8 hours... whenever you can tell they are really set up enough to remove.

    I love the looks of the agate coasters , but are they usable ? I mean wouldn't the water just run off and ruin the table its on ?

    • @SunshineRosebugs
      @SunshineRosebugs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sherry, Yes, you have valid questions... on a lot of these type coasters there is a small ledge around the edges which holds the water on the coaster so it doesn't get on your table. Also, with some of mine I out cork on the backs to help with water absorption and theses are more a decorative type coaster... you would use them for a short time and them take them up once your event or drink is finished. A cup of coffee wouldn't have condensation and neither would some wine glasses etc. They are functional but they are still considered art as well.

    You did a great video and I learned a lot so thank you. Can I ask you where you got your mold from?

      This one came from AliExpress but there are a ton of other vendors across Etsy and even Amazon. I ordered from Ali because no one had them in stock and they were like $3... so you order several ... it took mine about 3 weeks to arrive.
