Off Road Rc Racing On Clay @ Rocck Racing with a Fresh New Track Layout

865 Rc Mania Race Report from ROCCK Racing Friday Night Lights June 14 2024 and the Brand New Track Layout and let me tell ya my Rc Day didnt start off well as I had a Battery Swell and about blow before we left for the track so started off down 1 Batt right off the rip then we get to the Track I get a New Battery from Chad Cupp at N2RC My Son Ran in Novice and I had back to back races in Sportsman eBuggy and eTruggy during this time I had 2 batteries on Charge and after my truggy race while i was marshaling my Gens ace 6000mah battery blew up melting my charger and all my cables in the process it could've been much much worse if it wasnt for the quick responses from Freds Newaccount Nathan Adkins and Emory Horvath who rushed over to where I was pitting to contain and put out the fire huge thanks to all 3 of you guys 🙏🙏🙏. So Now to the racing My son Donovan ran good in his qualifier finishing in the 4 spot with his Sparko F8e then he made a tire change for his main and although he didnt finish higher than 4th his car looked better with more traction and he said it felt better but he is getting so much more confident and faster if he keeps this up and gets more consistent Sportsman is in his near future. Now for myself I ran my HB E8 World Spec Buggy and HB E8T Evo3 Truggy. I tried running some Gold Elipse in my Buggy qual and they just weren't the right tire for the track last night and I ended up Finishing 11th overall putting me in the B-Main so I made a tire Change to my trusted & beloved Sweep Nanobites for the B-Main and boy did it make a Huge difference as I was able to go out and win the B-Main and get the bump up to the A-Main where I would start 11th. In the A-Main we had an unfortunate pile up right at the very 1st corner that almost every one got caught up in even after the Announcer(Chad Cupp) said to start slow to avoid this exact situation however I was able to get back in the action pretty quick and make my way back up to the lead pack where I was able to battle and over take 1st but there where 3 of us would who would battle for the majority of the Main I made a few mistakes that wound up costing me the W and 2nd as I was in 2nd and on the last corner I clipped the pipe and gave up the 2nd spot finishing in 3rd but to go from 11th to 3rd and even lead the race for a few laps was awesome. In truggy I felt good in the qual getting the TQ and the Truggy felt amazing as well then we get into the A-Main where I was running in 1st and had an unfortunate break of a Front Shock Standoff Screw that knocked me out of the Race giving me 3rd place by Default as there where only 3 Racers in Sportsman eTruggy but Congrats to Arturo Fuentes and Todd Caldwell for not breaking and finishing the race in 1st and 2nd. All in all it was a very eventful day for 865 Rc Mania but it's all part of the hobby just gotta roll with the punches and keep swinging back lol we look forward to next week's Summer Solstice Trophy Race at Rocck Racing on Saturday June 22nd Giggity Giggity Goo
