I'm trying to get into drawing/sketching more freely like this. But I'm having a hard time, since I'm more of a technical draftsman. So watching your videos helps me a lot. Also I love your art style, it's so expressive.
Your videos really inspired me to get back to drawing. I really love to draw but it also makes me frustrated at the same time. I love to draw but I'm not good, whenever I look at artists (or even my classmates' art) I always say "I can't do this, I'm not on par with them", so I only got to draw chibi (I'm quite confident on this hehe). But I stumbled upon your croquis video (it was on my recommendation!) and it gave me courage to try portrait again. After watching your video (and tried drawing croquis for the first time) I still couldn't belive that I can draw portrait, and I'm not afraid to make mistakes anymore (since it doesn't have to perfect ㅋㅋㅋ). Haha, I always make a different face too. If it's weird, I erase it and do it again. There are a lot of eraser marks, so when it's hard to erase, you get a different look. Someday I'll try to make a video about facial expressions. But when I get used to it,:) Thanks~😉

Thats the issue, "i always try to make the sketch perfect". If you keep trying go for perfection, it will undoubtedly give you pressure thus worsening the quality of the art. Instead, lower your expectations and just keep drawing. It will feel like crap, but eventually the more you do studies (Life drawings), the more elegant and loose it'll become. TDLR, Keep practicing art via reference and lower your expectations.

크로키 어제부터 하고 있는데 저렇게 큰 형태 안 잡고 바로 그리는데 비율이랑 다 맞고 잘 그리는 거 너무 신기해요. 얼마나 많은 그림을 그렸을지 가늠이 안되네요. 저도 저 정도 되도록 많이 그려봐야겠습니다!

Haha, I always make a different face too.
If it's weird, I erase it and do it again.
There are a lot of eraser marks, so when it's hard to erase, you get a different look.
Someday I'll try to make a video about facial expressions. But when I get used to it,:)
