    I also was going to a “Loctician” for the SUPER bizarre perfect parts. But, watching you made me realize it’s not necessary. Locs aren’t to look NEAT all day every day. Let them do their thing. I’m definitely starting my own retwist going forward. Amazing tutorial Queen.

    Is it really necessary to use a hooded dryer? A handheld dryer wouldn't suffice?

    • @shadavaroberts3122
      @shadavaroberts3122  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      alisha horton A hand dryer would work if you want to hold it for that long I guess. 🤷🏽‍♀️ The point is to get the hair dried thoroughly. It’s a matter of preference. This is just what I do.

      Renard Hussey if it comes down when you shampoo you can try wearing a mesh cap. If it’s coming down when it’s dry you may want to get a loc style. That’ll hold it for a while. Hope this helps!

    • @shadavaroberts3122
      @shadavaroberts3122  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ariel Scott Thank you! I’m glad it helps. I don’t do anything special when I shampoo. Mainly I focus on my scalp and squeeze the product through the ends. The most important thing is to rinse them thoroughly after so there’s no product left in them before you begin to style. In my most recent video I shared the products I’m currently using and the order I use them in. Hope this helps!

    Hello there, how long would that last before ré twisting it? And if you would wash your hair in a week, would they come undone?

    • @shadavaroberts3122
      @shadavaroberts3122  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Françoise N the length of time it lasts varies from person to person. If you workout and sweat a lot then they may come unraveled because of the wetness. If you’re one who likes to shampoo often then obviously they won’t endure a shampoo. But generally speaking a retwist can last for a couple weeks to a month. That is if none of the things I mentioned above are a factor. Hope this helps.

    • @shadavaroberts3122
      @shadavaroberts3122  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Addie Rouse I think it’s just preference. If you use products that have mostly natural ingredients you won’t get any buildup. I think that’s the concern for most. The products I used in this video have natural ingredients in them so I’ve never experienced any buildup using them.

      Tisch I really like it! Because my loctician was only using a twisting product to style my hair, I could really tell the difference after using the loc and curl before the twisting products. My hair felt a lot more manageable than it did without it. I think it lives up to it’s claims.
