This Vietnam campaign has spawned some of the best Arma content in a good while. The streams from Blufor side if you can find them are really enteraining. And then to see it from KOG´s perspective in these vids makes the picture complete. Thanks for putting this together Karma!
As dope as Arma3 is, ladders and vehicle entry just blow.. not sure what it would take but boy does it stand out amongst what is otherwise incredibly badass. Fun watch regardless. Thanks Kut
I was one of the grenadiers attacking you there. The first round of the entire battle broke my leg 😂 Later when we closed I went to start clearing the trenches/bunkers with another guy and was promptly deleted as I got to the entrance. I figured it must have been you lot.
This ambush was pretty darn good. Would be awesome to deploy antipersonnel mines and good ol pungi pits. If Karma had a M79 with 30 grenades for it he could have wiped them out himself.

Prairie fire is in desperate need of a PTRS/PTRD Anti tank rifle for the VC, would fit really well and be an extremely effective anti armor weapon for apcs and other light skin vics, and its not expensive like an RPG, perfect for guerillas

@@sam8404 You can have the best PC and you will still have 30 frames. It's a game limitation. To op, most likely because there are few AI, and it is daytime (no shadows)

Arma 3 uses only a couple cores of your cpu at most and gpu is nearly a non factor without serious mods, leading to very little performance change in multiplayer matches between significantly different systems. Try changing graphics from ultra to low in arma multiplayer and you gain a handful of frames. I mean you can even see karma is often on low frames in the video itself. The game is old and notoriously badly optimized. It's still a fantastic game but performance is often abysmal. With any luck, performance will be a priority in the next arma... Lookup arma benchmarks. One on 1440p with a rtx 4090 and i7 13700k averaged 80 fps in campaign. If it was a full multi server it would be sub 60 fps. That's almost the best pc you can buy and it runs quite bad.
@@stillcantbesilencedevennow You definitely feel a difference when getting ambushed by KOG vs the AI. AI starts shooting at you when you are spotted so if only one AI sees you the shots start trickling in. KOG usually tries to surprise when initiating
The sound of Kookaburra's in the background lol. These iconic to Australia and iconic sounding birds are native to Australia only...non in Vietnam. Numerous other problems with the other Vietnam clips too, like lone scout helicopters, not Huey's, landing (which they never did in the war unless at base), lone American GIs wondering around the bush, jeeps left unattended, etc, etc. This is a vaguely Vietnam inspired, rather than a Vietnam sim. This is a great game, awesome tactical recreation, fantastic the way the campaign works, and amazing work done...so I feel a bit guilty writing this, but a proper Vietnam Sim, this is not yet. Here's hoping though, and I believe it will become so. Thanks very much.

Seems it's already been fixed for the new Arma, have you looked into Arma Reforger? It's a teaser for Arma 4
Much better in Reforger. Arma 3 is really limited by fixed animations, Reforger is more adaptive to the environment.

well in reality you would not be able to climb very fast with your gun and equipment on you.

Both trip mines and punji sticks are used on the server for these maps.
The 3 in Arma 3 stands for, all ArmA players hafting to say the same thing 3 times in a row, every time.
