Same. The game flaws pissed me off but as I continued playing the gameningrew to love the Ryder twins, Suvi Anwar, Kallo, Liam Kosta and all the other characters. They're not the Normandy crew but they are unique nonetheless.
They had the budget for like three facial expressions in the whole game, and as much as I wish they had more, I'm glad they invested it the way they did.
You prolly dont care but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my gf for the last weeks :)

Ever since I got this game, I NEVER chose the option to NOT visit Sara or Scott while in a coma. That's just the shittiest thing to do. If I had a sibling in a coma, I'd be an absolute wreck.
I know this is old but I've actually never lied to Sara about Alec dying, since I figured she needed to know the truth about that at least, so this is the first time I've heard the dialogue about Alec yelling at Scott being a regular thing. :( Poor Scott.
I'm actually quite interested how a sequel might work with Ryder. What if you played Scott this time around but in the following game wanted to choose Sara? Surely they can't put them in *another* coma lol
I knew it, I knew laying on the truth both times would be too much which is why I lied about the Dad, and at least she took it pretty well when she found out after waking up. A little her head on my shoulder action and everything was fine again.
Claire Dé Lune I didn't lie about Dad, because as soon as he awakes he will know I lied. I said that we had a paradise, since the German version didn't say Habitat 7, but was referring to any world i wasn't strictly speaking lying.
I kept visiting my brother after every BIG development in the story(like how you can with Kaiden/Ashley in ME3) thinking I could talk to my bro more but after this i kept getting sadder and sadder that nothing changed. I have two younger siblings myself and I would visit them everyday just to talk to them if this happened to them. Such a wasted opportunity...
I made them look like a mix of Japanese and Australian Aborigine {is made without any mod, just the regular in-game tool but I posted a picture of her on Nexus Mods website page dedicated to MEA, is easy to spot her with her curly hair ─ which gave to her bro as well to make them look like a little "punky" ─ and her forehead / lips tattoos} then I found out their father was fully Japanese and... well... judging from some flashbacks her mother is Japanese herself either. I believe I crated a little dysfunctional mess which is hard to explain... hahaha!

I told Scott a double lie, about their dad and about the situation. I figured out a truth, and even worse a double truth, would have created issues with his brain due to the very experimental "dialogue connection" via SAM. I was clearly right about that, as I could see later on when by curiosity I wondered "why if I told him the truth?". Now I wonder what's gonna happen when he actually wakes up and the truth will unfold. I got around 200 hrs of playthrough and the game will take ages for me to be over so I doubt I would play the game again to try any variable! I'm quite happy with the choice of playing the female character, I thought she might give me the chance to make her character evolve out of the stereotypes of usual male or even female characters in the game and I was right. In a sequel of the game, which I hope is gonna be made dammit, I wonder how things will be... I'm really curious about that. I didn't see any video yet about the game played in 2020, with all the patches I guess they made... all those bad comments about their facial expression sound really strange for me, their expressiveness is not bad at all and many relationships and private moments are actually even emotional and perfectly fitting the game. I believe some customizations of the characters change the whole outcome in terms of personality... those two in the videos, which I guess are the default ones, look honestly plain, with no depth compared to others in the game... besides... I find awkward seeing characters made out of VIP or other games' characters appearances... c'mon... a very young Ben Affleck and a next-door Lara croft in Mass Effect!? Please!
Has anyone done lying about finding a home while telling the truth about their dad, or does it skip the really being upset, but the "well, guess you're pathfinder so I'll let lying about finding home pass" come up but since you were truthful about the more important matter to them they're not too harsh about it?
Truth is always the best call. Especially when its so easy to find out otherwise. Lying here makes no sense as its delaying the inevitable. You get short term gain (perhaps better healing) but give up your credibility and lose all trust.
I'm one of the few that would love this story to be continued. The game was flawed sure but there is a lot of stuff that can be built upon

That's my guess my custom Ryder was similar (playing simultaneous playthroughs of each twin) my guess is they went with the quick start option

Luke Danger I lied about home, but told him Alec died. I was Sara, so Scott just makes a joke about you being older/the Pathfinder and lets it slide.
