      Thanks so much Kenny. It was initially all white, but my wife wanted a little color for her. That's awesome on painting the statue for a friend!

    Thank you Michael for taking the time to show us your beautiful work. Would you please list all the paint colors and brand including the primer and base coat that you were using? I would like to repaint our 2 1/2 foot statue of our Lady of Grace , but I have no idea what kind of paint to buy. Your help is greatly appreciated. God bless.

      Thanks for watching, much appreciated it. Here's the list of paints I used as explained on the video. I applied 2 coats of Kilz white after washing her. Behr Premium Plus semi-gloss white enamel as well as blue for her clothes. Skin color I custom colored with some Liquitex from a tube: brown sienna. The collar, I used Tamiya XS-6 Copper along with a metallic sharpie pen, The Globe I used CraftSmart acrylic blue with Glitter paint for the stars. The Folk Art Hunter Green 406 for the serpeant. Krylon Short Cut Black spray can for the bottom trim and finally I sealed it with Krylon UV Clear coat to protect the paint. Hope this helps. Take care.

    Michael, what clear coat paint did you use to preserve the finish?

    • @michaelkovach7973
      @michaelkovach7973  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Jeanne, I ended up using a Krylon Gloss Coat UV resistant spray can and applied several light coats to the statue. Hope this helps.

    Would you tell me what mixture you used to get the color for the hands and face?

    • @michaelkovach7973
      @michaelkovach7973  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I custom blended the skin tones using Liquitex Basics Burnt Sienna, Raw Sienna and a little bit of Titanium White. Hope this helps.

      Thanks very much for the reply. I recently bought Martha Stewart's Porcelain Acrylic and it did well on a statue of the Virgin Mary, but I was wondering about mixing paints.
