The film uses mostly beautiful matte paintings rather than miniatures. And real sets! But there are some models in it.
The sets are amazing in this film. You should watch the movie.
Grew up watching Hook so many times. The art direction was wondrous.

Hook is so great and you can feel the love that went into it. And I feel Spielberg along with Peter Weir were trying out Robin's dramatic chops

Hook was such an amazing movie, it had such a charm to it that not many other matches. Something like Goonies, Indiana Jones vibe to it
I made a hook inspired music video a little while ago. Adore this film and the place it transports you to. And the detailed work and love that these people put into it are a big part of that.

Wish Lorne Peterson had mentioned the original Star Wars escape pod model at his shoulder - assume he had a hand in designing and building it.
That was a casting made by someone else as a present. He never mentioned that particular model in my Star Wars segment, unfortunately.

The ocean made for EFNY didn't have movement. It was painted on the cement floor. This needed slight movement.
Does that first guy remind anybody else of Neil Peart of RUSH? Or is it just me?
