Photos Taken During Last Days of Khmer Rouge's Regime on Display (Cambodia news in Khmer)

Collection of photos from Elizabeth Becker taken during her interview with late Pol Pot, architect of Khmer Rouge's regime, is on display in Phnom Penh.
These image were taken just days before the fall of the Khmer Rouge's regime. They were the images the Khmer Rouge regime wanted the world to see. However they didn't reflect the reality of Cambodia those days where people were forced to perform back-breaking labor, starved to death, tortured and killed.

Why does this video have so many dislikes? Because a lot of people feel very, very guilty. Like they have blood on their hands. And they hate that the truth is coming to light. Khmer Rouge History 101: the Khmer Rouge, as an army as opposed to an group of friends who shared the same revolutionary ideology, was created by the illegal US bombing of 1969-1973. This event is one of the most appallingly horrific war crimes of all time. More bombs were dropped on Cambodia, a neutral country, than fell on both all of Europe and Japan during the entirety of WW2. Henry Kissinger and Richard Nixon lied to the US Congress, lied to the American people, lied to Cambodia. Traditional estimates are that about 500,000 died during the Civil War (1970-1975) and "between 1,200,000 - 3,000,000 died during the Khmer Rouge period". But it is in the opinion of this author that far more people were killed during the Civil War of 1970-1975 than were killed during the Khmer Rouge period (1975-1979). I have my reasons.Finally, Thailand, the US, the UN, EU, China and Australia all supported the Khmer Rouge before the Killing Fields and after. The UN gave the Khmer Rouge a seat on the Security Council in the 1980s, AFTER they found out about the Killing Fields. The Civil War then, in retrospect, lasted from 1969-1998, when Pol Pot, the nerdy soft-spoken founder of the Khmer Rouge, died.

Yes, I was there in the whole time under Pol Pot regime. I think more than two millions people got executed. I and our all Khmer people were living under Pol Pot regime in the worse pain and sufferings on earth. I'm alive today, but my mentality is not very stable because I have so much flash back and too many, many nightmares or bad memories.

I just found out that one of the men she was with was a college professor in England. He was a communist and loved Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge from what I understood. Wrote platitudes about him, his comrades and the government, and the great experiement Pol Pot was doing. He seemed to not care that genocide had been going on for years, and actually turned a blind eye to it. Idiot.
