More Irish employees need do same thing. Apprentice in Ireland is paid less than 9 euro hourly it’s absolutely disgusting what some companies are getting away with.

I'm with the Workers! Shocked to hear Aer Lingus is not Irish owned. How/when was it privatised? When did that happen?

24% increase demand is insane. Pilots have complete disregard for the public.

The prols shouldn't be flying anyway, it's bad for the planet. Only the necessary private jet flying by our all knowing fearless leaders is acceptable. Rules for thee but not for me.

Any company that EXPECTS workers to always work overtime is not being managed properly. The goodwill of workers is being taken for granted. Sack the board who have lead the company in this direction.

To the lady that missed her Aer Lingus flight. Very simple answer- book Ryanair. Ryanair RARELY cancel flights. That’s what happens unfortunately when you choose to travel with old fashioned airlines like A L

Are the pilots being hard done? I dont know. The reason this one is tough to see the balance is because its affecting so many of the travelling public. There is huge sympathy for those that have saved and cant travel. At the same time if this is tackling corporate greed I hope a big dent is put in that!

What are published rosters? Is USA to Dublin considered a published roster? I would assume this being a transatlantic route would come under a roster and not on "an as needed basis" .

Aer lingus management and the pilots involved ought to be ashamed of themselves - it seems it’s more like personal pride issues rather than how can we solve this problem. Pilots should be paid for the responsibility they have on a daily basis but the company must be responsible also. Their current spokesperson seems to me to have a bit of an inflammatory attitude and the pilots association individual seems to have a “ couldn’t care less” attitude. We want - we want - we want. You are all a disgrace to our country.

The labour court recommended 9.25%, the pilots are going on strike for significantly more than 2x this number, maximising the disruption to passengers how is that acceptable
