  • In this episode, Navs sits down with CJ Cansino, former UAAP Rookie of the Year and now entering his final playing season for the UP Fighting Maroons, to talk about his growth and development as a person and a basketball player. We dive deep into his personal journey, from his beginnings with the UST community, to his transition to UP, and his views on collegiate player empowerment.
We also discuss the current state of the UAAP, including the players coming in and out of UP and the league as a whole. But the conversation takes a more heartfelt turn when we talk about CJ's loss of his mother and how he has dealt with it.
Throughout the episode, CJ's candid and authentic answers give us a glimpse into the life of a student-athlete and how he has navigated the highs and lows of his journey so far. So tune in to hear CJ's perspective on life, basketball, and everything in between.

That last part made me emotional. Praying for nothing but good health for this great man moving forward. No more injuries and only success in his last playing year in college and his pro career. God bless, CJ!
