You passed A.S Turner funeral home before you went by Dekalb general hospital. I remember when Stacy's pharmacy had home delivery. A friend of mine that's passed away use to be the delivery guy. I remember Medlock elementary school and Medlock park. Bringing back good ol memories. McDonald's was on the left and above it was Krystals
I remember I-285 under construction. Before traffic opened, our Towers High School cross country team would go out and run some mileage on it (while carefully observing speed limits, of course!)
AFAIK, it was Emory that wanted its own grounds annexed to Atlanta. They took in as few homes as they could, AIUI, so the Westminster area shouldn't be part of that. I'm not sure the deal's even done yet. Emory Baptist Church (the one with the steeple, close to the road, before Clifton Road) was the first church I ever attended, when I was three or four. Three of my cousins attended Medlock School.
I lived on Bridlewood Circle near the hospital. Graduated from Medlock in 1975 and then Druid Hills in 1980.
The bridge hasn't always been there at Scott circle. Used to dead end.

In the ‘60’s and ‘70s we lived in the Druid Hills area. I went to Fernbank ES and Druid Hills High. Our mailing address was Atlanta then.

They started working on 285 and still haven't finished. Ha!
The area around the hospital has changed so much wow.
Yes it has

Living far away now, I love to see GA in spring. Nothing else blooms like the southeast in the spring.
I will be posting Spring videos over the next couple of months on the You tube channel
Scott Boulevard Baptist - gone, my old church, now condos.
Yes that entire block, yuk! I loved it the way it was
Seems like there was a pizza place around Emory called "Everybody's Pizza"....could be wrong.
It was in Emory Village, on the left side per the video.
Yes and very good pizza, Later there was Jagers further down, I liked it too
