So if your normal workflow would be to record in the 4 track mode and then do some post processing after you import those tracks into a DAW, then there is no need to worry tremendously about a soft spoken guest right? so long as you make sure that you have that headroom mentioned in the beginning then a lot of post processing capability is available. let me know when you have time because we recently purchased this exact same set up to eliminated using an interface. Thanks for the great content and tips btw!
Hi, how are you, sir? I hope you had a wonderful day. I have a few questions to ask. Currently, I own a FIFINE XLR/USB Dynamic Microphone AM8 and the Focusrite Vocaster Two. I'm wondering if it would be worth it for me to upgrade to the Elgato Wave XLR - Audio Mixer or the RØDE PodMic USB Versatile Dynamic Broadcast Microphone with XLR and USB. Alternatively, should I consider the Rode PodMic Cardioid Dynamic Broadcast Microphone in black? I want to make sure I'm making the best choice, so your help is greatly appreciated.
Can you please advise/make a video on the Røde Podmic and the Røde Ai-1. There's no Pro videos on youtube on this combo. I have a Scarlett with the Podmic and I need a cloudlifter or similar to boost this mic. But maybe I should just get the Røde Ai-1 instead? Thanks for a great channel.
They told me that because I have the Focusrite Vocaster Two, I need a Cloudlifter. Please let me know if I do or don't need it, or if I should purchase another interface.
What is going on family, new subscriber Cribbs here ✌🏼My Rodecaster pro will be here tomorrow and I am matching it up with my new podmic. Great video very helpful 🙏
Thank you so much for responding and recommending this product!! I have the same setup as you. However, at 6:31 in this video, there is an option to select "Voice," which does not appear on my Rodecaster. Is there anything else I need to get from the Rode website to enable this option?
It's also possible that you enabled the Effects Edit Mode which allows you to change the parameters around the processing (Compressor, Noise Gate, De-esser). You won't see the Voice Option when the Effects Edit Mode is enabled.
I have the rodecaster pro, 2 pod mics, & 2 mic line In preamps hooked up to the mics, & my podmic are picking up everything. I thought dynamic mics are just suppose to pick up whatever is in front of them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
the hissing has been a real problem for me with the Rodecaster. I just reduced my Rode Procaster mic level from 43 to 37 based on your advice. Do you think that will make a noticeable reduction in hissing?
Dude, You have helped me through multiple different mic and interface combination setups and I appreciate it very much!
Great to hear!
