All Zeliangrong people irrespective of the geographical boundaries must feel proud of our ancestors, culture, history and traditions. We are the first amongst the Nagas to fight against the British Raj under the leadership of Haipou Jadonang Malangmei. We must also feel proud of our lone freedom fighter of India first among the Nagas Haipei Rani Gaidinliu ( receipient of Tamra Patra and Bharat Bhusan) among others from the Indian Government. They are the pioneers of Naga freedom movement. They struggled and sacrificed their lives for our Nation. Theyv fought against the British Raj in India even before the Naga freedom movement led by A.Z. Phizo started and much before the State of Nagaland, Manipur etc. were created.
