After many, many tries, I have finally mastered this challenging origami container. However, still have trouble getting an exact fit between the bottom and the top of the model. I'll keep trying, though. Thank you for posting this very interesting instructive video.
To make nested boxes, use 2 cm smaller origami each: Lid & ( bottom ) L : 15 cm x 15 cm ( 14.5 cm x 14.5 cm ) M : 13 cm x 13 cm ( 12.5 cm x 12.5 cm ) S : 11 cm x 11 cm (10.5 cm x 10.5 cm )
@ that Spot, there is (while flat) a box with the x (like a sink fold look) we are tucking 1/4 of that little square box Behind it self While (in a way) while folding that little square in half perpendicular to the exposed corner line covering the tucked part of the square. Does that Help?

Is by any chance the sheet of paper, used in the video 15 x 15 cm square? Accept for the lid, Which is 5 mm wider?
