Been a fan of BO for a while, and it's always been crazy to see how much Noah improves from one album to the next. He was already good on their first album, but he basically had one scream tone, a gritty singing tone, and then a cleaner singing tone. But when the first single of their second album came out, I was shocked by how much he'd improved his vocal technique. The amount of tones and control he had was nuts compared to the first album. And then the first single off of this album, he did it *again*. Started showing off how amazing his head voice and vibrato had gotten. And even showed a bit of an improved tone in his screams. If there's any vocalist I can point to and say "That guy takes his job seriously" it's him. No way he improved that much without being dedicated to practice and improvement. Recommend the title track and The Grey from this album, those are my favs. And then highly recommend Mercy, Dethrone from the previous album. Mercy is super underrated, I think it's one of their best songs. And then Dethrone is just fun. I do like their first album a lot, I think all the singles from it would be great to do as well.
ok I no longer feel unsure about suggesting them, lol (I was sweating a little trying to follow up Sleep Token) - I also really recommend the Limits Unplugged acoustic version from their past album (even if not as a reaction, just listen to it!), such a beautiful song - As far this this album sounding different, there's interviews with Noah saying he really experimented a lot with trying to find his voice on this album instead of just feeling boxed in to screaming all the time
