I experienced playing in classical ensembles and solo in regular concert of the guitar club when I was a student, but I had no time to play the guitar at all during my years as a company employee. I resumed practicing in earnest last spring when I retired. My fingers do not move as they used to, but I would like to play carefully. Frescobaldi's "Aria con Variazioni", consisting of a theme and three variations, is a fine piece that is both graceful and melancholy, yet free and expansive. (Yuji Yamada)
学生時代にギター部の定演でクラシックアンサンブルと独奏を経験しましたが、会社員時代はギターを弾く余裕がまったくありませんでした。退職した昨春から練習を本格的に再開しました。昔のようには指は動きませんが、丁寧に演奏したいと思います。アリアと変奏は、主題と三つの変奏からなり、気品と哀愁を併せもちつつ自由な広がりを見せる佳曲です。（山田祐二）
