So happy I could help! And dang, you added a ton since that first day. Great work! GameMaker is such an awesome engine to learn in.

YES!! That call was a massive help, and I was able to use the stuff we talked about that first day for all of the remaining days on the project. Thanks again, that was very much appreciated 🙏🙏

@@JefryU That's awesome, and I thought so too! The ease of use really helped with the 5 day challenge thing 😅

I have been waiting impatiently for your video, and this was a treat. It's so cool that there are engine which provide different set of tools. And it was a hassle to learn programming, after 3 weeks of learning to code,
I can successfully change the colour and fonts of a text or make a webpage.
    I am slow with this.
Can I know which programming language you learned before gamedev?

I'm glad you liked it!! I agree, so cool to see how different engines do things differently. That's awesome you're learning how to code though! It's difficult, but It's the process of learning to code for the first time that's slow, not you. Even learning how to change font colors is something to be proud of, because that's one more thing that you can do now that you didn't know how to do before! 🙌
Before game dev, I messed around with C++ and made a really simple time calculator app for my friend, but it was pretty basic and ran in the command prompt. I was still at a pretty beginner level when I started looking into game dev, so I get the difficult aspect of it. Keep up that progress! 💪

@GreenLightDev Thank you !! That's what I wanted to hear. I'll complete my html course in a few months (maybe years) then hop onto c++.
It's disappointing that I'll have to wait so long until gamedev but as you said, learning one thing at a time is fun. I'll have patience until then. Thanks again!

@Vensauno I wouldn't say that there's a barrier of needing to learn "X" before learning game dev--my knowledge of programming was very limited when I started. I didn't use it in this video, but GameMaker also has a visual coding option that doesn't require "writing" code but can get you used to the logic involved. You could always start with that and see how you like it!

@@GreenLightDev thanks, but anyways I'll have to wait for that. I checked it out and gamemaker isn't available in mobile phones.
It will be a few months until I buy a laptop.
