It was Christmas 2017 and two devastating hurricanes had passed through Puerto RIco. there was no electricity since the hurricane in October but still people decorated their houses. One day walking through the neighbourhood listening to my playlist this song comes on and by the time Chris sings "Those Christmas Lights" for the first time the electricity returned after months lighting all the Christmas lights and everything on the neighbourhood. It was magical.
This song is so special, the music, the lyrics and the voice of this song really makes you feel something different, which you can’t explain.. but you felt it.

I have been diagnosed with depression since I lost somebody very important and close to me and I can’t get over it. Bc of that loss I am not only depressed but lonely as well- and I when I heard this song it made me realize that I will spend this Christmas just by myself again, which scares me a lot. This was playing 5 years ago after my aunt's funeral, she passed away 2 days before Christmas, she was 39, and was the sweetest most hardworking single mom on this earth. She was on the hospital for a month before her death. This songs brings bittersweet memories to me, it reminds me of her, of that awful Christmas, of the exact moment we knew she was gone... I have never been able to listen to this song all the way without crying 😢… I introduced my 19 daughter to this while taking her back to college this past spring. It was a rainy day driving her to her school. When she heard it the first time she was silent as I was telling how this song reminded me of the first Christmas her brother was gone from our family as he entered the Navy (2011) and how I missed him a lot. She noticed that I was crying. She cried too as she told me what a great song it is 👏🏽👏🏽. When I went back to bring her home for a small break, she played this song while we were driving to the airport. This was playing 5 years ago after my aunt's funeral, she passed away 2 days before Christmas, she was 39, and was the sweetest most hardworking single mom on this earth. She was on the hospital for a month before her death.
This songs brings bittersweet memories to me, it reminds me of her, of that awful Christmas, of the exact moment we knew she was gone...
I miss you so much auntie. I love you.

I have never been able to listen to this song all the way without crying 😢… I introduced my 19 daughter to this while taking her back to college this past spring. It was a rainy day driving her to her school. When she heard it the first time she was silent as I was telling how this song reminded me of the first Christmas her brother was gone from our family as he entered the Navy (2011) and how I missed him a lot. She noticed that I was crying. She cried too as she told me what a great song it is 👏🏽👏🏽.
When I went back to bring her home for a small break, she played this song while we were driving to the airport. We both smiled and cried at the same time because she knows how much this song means to me and to her now ❤️❤️❤️❤️
