There are some crazy updates to this post. But basically OP confronts his friends about turning on him. And finds out Robert(husband)had been talking with them for years, about how he thinks OP was sleeping with Danielle (wife) and not really gay. The talks w/ OP were to feel him out to see his reaction. Then OP finds out Robert had hidden cameras w/ audio around the house. That only he had access to. And he would make snide comment to his wife about the discussions he heard. He also set it up so all her text also went to his phone. The friend group explored and though girls night friends, realize that Robert is alienating Danielle and separating her, and is abusive. They just don't feel safe being her friend, because she never told them about the cameras that had been up for months. And even when OP confronted her with it and said that she needs to tell the other three women.

@@brandyanderson3522 I also remember Robert retalated against one of the girls by sending one of the videos he took to her abusive SO KNOWING he would attack the poor girl for what she said out of spite! Then his wife doubled down on his bad behavior and now the two (Rob and Dan) have become pariah's I believe because of this behavior and I think Robert got in trouble for that action! Seriously I think I remember Danielle blaming OP for all of this as well at a later point! People are fucking idiots and I feel for the OP having to go through that shit show!

Also, Robert needs to retake high school biology if he failed to learn that red hair is the most recessive hair colour gene in humans, and the reason his daughter got red hair when he and his boys are blond is because HE also has the red hair gene, on his X-chromosome while his Y chromosome has the blonde gene!
Which means that since he has a red haired wife, they can *ONLY* get blonde boys and ginger girls.

@@SonsOfLorgar I don't think those genes are on the X & Y chromosomes for humans. I have a sister who is brunette. Her husband is blond. Their oldest daughter is brunette. The rest of their kids are either blonds or redheads. They had both sons and daughters of each hair color.
My sister obviously has genes for brunette and red hair (our father's mother was a redhead) while her husband must have genes for blond and red hair. If the genes were on the X & Y chromosomes, as you said in your comment, they couldn't have both sons and daughters of each hair color.

In many Asian countries women have few rights, so what westerners call stealing is just “it’s our culture” for about half of the world’s population. That’s probably why the great-aunt specifically made her bequests to females.

I hate it when family members do stupid things to their relatives and think they can get away with it because they're family!
My Mom jokingly asked me one time what I would do if she told me she committed a crime, and I replied that I would turn her in. We both laughed since it wasn't a serious conversation but in reality, I would turn in any of my family members if they admitted to me that they committed a crime.
I don't care if we're family, there are laws in place for a reason. Even if it's my mom or my sister, if you break the law, better believe I will call the cops on you. I wouldn't enjoy doing it, but I'd feel even worse letting you get away with something like that

I would be curious to have an update on this. If the parent wasn't supposed to have access to that and with how well (and rich) her grand-aunt was, I guess these account was supposed to be protected. So, if they found a way to access to it, it's the bank that is at fault or the parent has done fraud (like false signature or something like this). It could be a big lawsuit!
And her sister, doesn't she understand that a lot of her money, that could have help her somewhere else (depending of the condition set by the grand-aunt) and probably also got rob?
And the brother : "you don't trust me"? Yeah... when your own parent just steal you, you might have a hard time to trust somebody who knew what they were doing.
I'll take a wild guess her on how they could access : Mama & papa pay for sis wedding / convince sis (culturally) that she need to give them the money. They go to bank with her (as an adult) and withdraw the money. Bro get his wedding. Mama & papa ask for sis to come as if she was the sister (if there is a cultural clash with where they live, I presume the settup is something like a white man at the bank taking care of the request of asian couple and her daughter. With the culture difference, with a 1 inch by 1/2 inch photo, if the sisters look a like even a little, the bank guy can't tell the difference). Sign (immitation) the documents and here we go : OP account is more than half empty.

Last story reminds me of a very old joke . Man is on his deathbed talking with his wife. He says “Helen, you have been a wonderful wife to me all these years. you have given me 6 wonderful boys. However i just gotta ask our youngest has red hair and theres no resemblance to me. Is he really my son?” Helen paused then took a breath and answered “Fred, you also have been a wonderful husband and father. As far as our youngest, well he is the only kid that IS yours!” 🤪

Makes sense since red hair genes often skip generations.. I’ve got a very red headed niece & nephew who’s strawberry blonde (the red hair comes from both our grandpas’ families- and their dad has kinda dirty strawberry blonde-ish hair, which doesn’t come from his parents, but further back generations)
But red hair is usually recessive, occurring when both parents carry that gene in most cases

I was in the industry pre-Covid & I can say that, thankfully, the majority of people you’ll work with aren’t like this grandma. Unfortunately, when you have to deal with crazies, they are EXTRA crazy & insanely challenging to deal with.
Grief tends to either bring out the best in people or the worst. That said, most of the people who behaved poorly ended up acknowledging how unpleasant they were, apologized & thanked us for our work.
Choosing death work isn’t for the faint of heart or for those who take things personally. You have to be extremely patient & compassionate while keeping your own emotions compartmentalized in a healthy manner. It’s some of the most difficult work imaginable, but if it’s work you are called to do, you will be incredibly fulfilled.
Wishing you the best of luck in your future career! It’s challenging, but so very rewarding to know you are helping people during the most difficult experience of their life & hopefully making a beautiful send off for their loved one. It’s truly such an honor & something I genuinely miss.

Their daughter was born with thick, wavy, dark hair. It was the darkest, thickest hair I've EVER seen on a baby. I remember the full story and don't feel too bad for EITHER of them! Robert and his wife are TOXIC as fuck and Robert gets WORSE as you'll discover going deeper into this! It's clear he's OBSESSED about his kids all looking like him because as shown LATER, the POS is a "Control Freak" he's been SPYING on his wife via Camera's in the house and her get togethers with her Girlfriends and OP! POS even sent one of the recordings of PRIVATE info to one of the girl's who rose a fuss about this "Husband" who was a KNOWN ABUSIVE POS! So he KNEW what would happen if he revealed she was talking stuff about him behind his back! And lo and behold! She ended up in the hospital! Man was THREATENING to reveal the records like a sociopath! And then wife got MAD at OP over this shit! Siding with her sociopathical husband! Last I heard, they have become PARIAH'S because of this! Story 1: as a parent who buried a baby (born at 17 weeks) the funeral home went above and beyond. They helped me get a bronze marker and when I went missing they looked for it and one day I show up to visit and saw it freshly put in. They remember the name of every baby buried there. I am referred to as "Ezra's mom". The funds was $1885.85 at the end of it but it included a marker, permanent endowment fee (basically means the grave will always be cared for and I own that tiny spot), and to open the grave. They managed to arrange the burial 10 days before what would've been his 2nd birthday (he was cremated against my wishes but I could at least bury the ashes. Hospital policy that under 20 weeks was quote "incinerated as medical waste" but a nurse managed to get his body sent to a crematory so I'd get the ashes back.).

I don't know the exact percentage but about 80% of people with disabilities are able to stand, pivot and ambulate, at least some. As someone with disabilities, I can walk short distances and on flat even surfaces, especially at home. On bad days I have to use my crutches, which I also use to get to my car from my house. Most of the time I use my wheelchair when I'm outside my house, especially for work and places the requires a lot of walking and sitting and when my pain level is high. OP did the right thing by telling Danielle because this aggressive behavior could turn violent towards Danielle, the older kids or even the baby. Danielle was right to kick him out and divorce him because he is too crazy to be able to be trusted to not do something.
OP should also contact a lawyer and look into getting a restraining order against Robert and then notify their employer of Roberts actions and repeated harassment/threats. Also, OP save all texts/voicemails/etc from Robert just in case something does happen then you have evidence against him. Another good idea is to have a camera with you that can be turned on quickly in case Robert comes around, then you have a video of him being nuts/aggressive/violent.

I just want to say thank you to OP. As someone who suffered a second trimester pregnancy loss, I appreciate the trigger warning at the beginning. And for their being an amazing human being for going to such lengths for a grieving family. There's nothing worse than losing a child and there are no words for what OP's kindness means in that type of situation.

Story 5: I'm just scared for that little girl's mental health going forward.
This is coming from a girl who's father does hate the way she looks, it is really damaging to hear that the one man who should care for you more than any other hates you because of your appearance

About 15 years ago, I needed too renew my Driver's License. The idiot clerk at the County Tax Office refused to issue it, because I couldn't walk without my cane after standing for over three hours in line. The manager agreed, so I went to a state official and filed a written complaint, I went to the State's DMV office and was told that it was not the law, and issued my license. I also filed a complaint with the Tax Assessor's Office about the incident. By the time the dust settled, everyone in the Tax Office had been retrained. They could now take care of any issue at any terminal and they added some old church pews. A 'take a number' dispenser at the entrance allowed you to sit if you needed to. Now it usually takes under 15 minutes to be out the door.

Op getting the test won’t prove that it is the husband’s kid, it’ll only prove that op is not the father. But as crazy as the father is, he’ll just be accusing some other man with red hair. The husband needs to get the test on himself and the kid. THAT will prove it’s his child.

Yet has the nerve to get mad at OP for demanding a contract before she does anything else! Guess he thinks like them in "they did nothing wrong and OP as a Woman shouldn't complain they used HER money! As a Woman, it belongs to THEM! Despite GrandAunt making it CLEAR it was meant for the DAUGHTERS of the family! Guess GrandAunt underestimated just how entitled folk in her old community can be, or she allowed that access in case an emergency came up and again UNDERESTIMATED the BALLS and Shamelessness of her Trads in her family!)

I was born in 1958 with Hypermobility Syndrome which has caused me pain throughout my life. By the time I was 6 I had two other forms of arthritis. Back then in small towns people, even doctors, didn't understand Juvenile Arthritis. That meant for most of my life I'e been called names and accused of "faking it". even by my family. Nowadays I'm pretty much stuck in bed. I got apologies from doctors. And right now my brother is out getting my groceries.

Also, I would talk to HR about this man causing a hostile work environment. People need to learn the can't act any kind of way in public and in the workplace

The Wal-Mart story... I used to work in a nursing home that also had short-term rehab (physical/occupational) patients. One lady had a mobility scooter that she simply could. not. drive. She also had a lovely disposition that made her loudly complain about how absolutely every accident she got into was someone else's fault. She didn't stop bumping people, knocking things over, and accidentally rearranging furniture in the lobby (by running into it) until the day she drove straight forward into a brand-new wall in the entryway and put a massive hole into it. That finally gave us the ability to put serious limits on her mobility until she was discharged (to everyone's relief) a couple of weeks later. Those little electric scooters are an absolute menace in the wrong hands!

So why the hell didn't grandma pony up for all the extras if she felt her grandbaby deserved then rather than make a scene. OP, thank you for what you do!
Stealing college fund story: Absolutely NTA! I'd not only be suing them, I would be checking with the police to see if I could press criminal charges against the parents.
Amusement park story: Good grief! Not everyone who's in a wheelchair needs it full time, but they DO need it. I have a bad knee. Yes, I can walk, but not very far or for very long. When I shop, I use the provided mobility scooters. When I go to an amusement park, I RENT one. Otherwise, I'm not going to enjoy my day and would have to cut it short.
Genetics story: I would absolutely refuse to get a paternity test alone. The real father in this story would have to get one at the same time so I could watch him eat crow when the results came in. Good grief, not every child takes after just ONE of the parents.

The guy in the last story is insane. If I were OP I would not be taking a DNA test, I'd tell the guy if he's so certain abt the paternity he can test himself. I'd also be going to HR & talking to a lawyer abt harassment. As for the so-called friend group I'd let them know in bo uncertain terms that we are no longer friends & how stupid they're going to feel when the test comes back negative & I'd also let them know that they're just as stupid & ridiculous as the guy who started it all. I'd really like to hear an update from this story

being a redhead means that both sides of the family has the recessive gene for red hair. it may not show up but it is there. red heads come in the distant past from the middle east and very common with the jewish people. when the bloody idiot roman empire could not subject the jewish people they destroyed their country killing some and forcing others to leave to go to other parts of the world. the Europe, India etc.... My dad had the recessive gene for red hair and he would not grown a beard at all for it was bright red and he had brown hair. my mother side of the family had no recessive gene and all she wanted was a red hair child but never got one. one of my brother's did give her a great granddaughter with red hair but my mother had died a long time ago. the granddaughter's mother is jewish and my nephew had Irish blood on both sides of his family so the recessive gene was there as well.....

Story 2: Yeah... not an a-hole. If the parents "borrow" it, they should not have the problem replenish or dispute about the funds.
Story 3: Karens need to learn that disabilities can't be physical.
Story 4: I guess she just want some excitement in her life, I guess? 😅
Story 5: Pride (and not the LGBT kind) was in his head. Is he blind to see that his child looks a bit like his mom and yeah... he didn't know about genetics and female genes usually were more dominant then males ( as far as my understanding goes) 🤔

Story 3: I’m assuming EDS is Ehlers Danlos(sp?) syndrome. I read another story where another EDS person was accused of faking so the person started dislocating her joints to prove it. Grossed the Karen out.
Story 5: someone didn’t pay attention in biology class. If you pay attention in the genetics portion and are questioning paternity, you can compare blood type. It’s not as accurate DNA but at least you can exclude.

Story 1: Grandmother, you know what's really disrespectful? Complaining about free products & services.
OP went far, above, & beyond for the parents. OP followed all of the parents preferences & requests. Including the facts, that OP used their own (personal, not company) $$ towards giving the deceased dignity & love. OP just wanted to help the parents in any way that they could.
I hope that the parents are able to find peace some time soon. At least they know that their baby was treated with respect & care.

I’ve been accused of faking my hyperacusis so many times by Karen’s who also encourage their kids to bully me. Hyperacusis is the complete opposite of being deaf. You hear almost everything in the area including mice and bats. This is more of a disadvantage because sounds such as pencils scrapping really hurt. Shrieking kids end up feeling like a kidney stone in the head and can cause migraines.

I compare it to broken speakers, or a radio station that you can't seem to tune in properly. Some things you can barely hear, others come in extra loud. And yeah there's no point in explaining this to Karens, you're just giving them ammo.
