All media is suffering from the issue of capitalizing on IPs they already own because all of them already have box office breaking dedicated fanbases. Something like Barbie is easily going to outsell Oppenheimer because it's already established and everyone loves it.

Same is also true within Gaming. Just shity Remake, Remaster, Reboot, Reimagine, Rerereremake,... after another. But Indie Games are just the best.
I haven't spent money on a new release AAA game in 7 years and I haven't loved gaming as much as I do now since I was a child.
