I'm hoping in the near future that instead of random rogue agents encounters, we get random hunter spawns. They are supposed to be hunting Div agents and we're supposed to be hunting rogue agents. Seems switched around atm.

The last floor of Summit in TD2 doesn't offer the same sentiment as being disrupted while a Hunter group ropes down from the ceiling with axes ready to hack your ass. Talk about psychological warfare they decorated themselves with Agent's watches, and everything happens so quickly. At least on the last floor of summit, or even rogue agent encounters you know what to expect. In TD1 they seek and destroy, and you never know when they're coming. It was a beautiful experience at the time.

A lot of story, if you are curiouse, listen to the calls, echos, watch the clips etc... And as the comment before. The hunters in 1 really were brutal. But they only come in the Addon gamemodes. Survival and Underground if I'm not misstaken and just randomly. But if you are not prepared you'r dead! 😅🤣
IKR. I want it sooooo bad. In Division 1, they didn’t have actual “hunter outfits” but there were items of clothing that you could put together to look very hunter-like. Not so much in this game. 😖😫😩

I've seen these guys for over a year now. I always thought it was a secret hunter or boss of the other hunters I've killed. But couldn't ever end up killing one b4 they pulled a Batman on me.
Because its impossible, unless its a set like the Spec Costumes It's mainly to do with the fact there is character customization and so essentially there is a runaway effect of pieces that need to work together without clipping heavily, and the more stuff you add the more clashes occur so everything exists within a certain parameter. this is the same reason your chest rig and back pack float like a solid 2 inches off your body and why certain hats/helmets remove other clothing items on the face because it could clip. It's my biggest gripe with the game I wish that the gear you used took up that entire slot cosmetic wise and have a Xmog system that let you change looks but alas poor decisions were made.
I had one spawn behind me in the middle of the street and actually tried using the Axe on me. We were back to back for about 2 seconds shooting other factions and then he realized I was in arm's reach and tried to hit me. It was a pretty unique experience. Another time I actually got up to roof level with one and I must have been just out of shooting range because I used the TAC-50 and I nailed one right in the head and I actually got a hit marker but he smoked and disappeared shortly after.
Na you just can’t kill them the only ones you can kill are on roof of summit or the ones you summon manually by doing certain things in the game-and if you’ve gotten all the masks then you can’t summon them anymore.

There are actually two hunter outfits. One is called the “Stinger Hunter”, I believe. I’m not home right now so I can’t logon to verify what they’re called.

This are stalking hunters. They are they same hunters you killed but are reused as a random encounter. They wont engage you, and if aimed at, with vanish with a smoke bomb.
Came back after playing a bit of Season 9 (Season 5 for lore) and yeah, one of the hunters was a former DHS agent, why would hunters be part of Homeland Security and why would they hunt the SHD is beyond any understanding so far.
Well, seems like Black Tusk has a Hunter program as heard in one of the audios, where only the best of the best can join. If some SHD agents went rogue, who can stop them from joining black tusk.
I saw this particular Stalker Hunter just now at the same spot and did the same thing. He spawned there at around 0300 in the morning. If you want to find this guy on your own and can't seem to get him to appear, that's how I found him. He's at the small theater stage just south of the monument. These Stalkers are pretty creepy. Makes you wonder "Why are they observing us?" Hopefully we'll find out soon. 👍

i wish we would get more hunter themed clothing and not just Masks like the no sleeve Netting versiom or getting those hunter masks with a Balaclava like in div1 cause i hate wearing them with Beanies and all that or get the Camouflage(Dark Green) and the White Shirt one from div1 or atleast more Rogue themed clothing (Dark Colors with hoods or cap's backwards with shd logo in black) as the Rogues use clothings that we have just recolored we should be able to recolor clothings not just gear or get diffrent version when pressing X (on xbox) that you can select from like the gear has with its appearance mods would be so much more into playing

I've killed one, in West Potamac Park, just east of the Lincoln Memorial mission. There's an area where you can loot a ton of water, he spawned in the sentry tower. He couldn't run away fast enough. 😂 Typical trash drops. Edit: Come to think of it, it's in (or near) a location where you can spawn a Hunter who drops a mask. Shoot out the light at night and he spawns. But my encounter occured after I had that one's mask.
Was doing a CP on heroic killed all ads cleared the CP had to kill 4 rogue agents and for some reason this guy in a mask and hunter gear just pops out dinks the rogues then nopes tf outta there I was like tf I really wish the stalker killed them I struggled soloing all 4 even with my build but eventually all 4 fell dead

I get the hunter fuzz/static at night time if I’m doing a bounty in the building just to the right of the safe house in Constitutional Hall. They’re definitely around, and seemingly at the same places each time.
I don’t much about these types of hunters other than they just sit around on tops of buildings and watch us silently. If you point your gun in their direction, they’re gone in a literal puff of smoke.

I've ran into the exact same stalker. And after killing all the hunters. I think these are like ghosts of previously killed hunters. If you go around west patomic park at night you can usually find one of these stalkers hiding

They do are hunters I killed one once with a headshot it took me a few days to do it when he banished you can run to different locations at the same night and he will appear again anyway he doesn't drop anything good 😒
Good question! I think the only way to find out would be to kill one and visually exam it. I’ve never been able to kill one myself. I guess another way would be to get even closer than I did here & zoom the Photo Mode Camera around him better.

It's just so disappointing that there is no proper lore or story around these stalker, and that recruiter. I sincerely hope that in the upcoming seasons we may get some more details about them. I mean look at elden ring, i think every character has a background story in that game. And i think it's high time the division characters gets one too .
I haven’t played the division in almost two years and coming back, I found out that the secretary of homeland, McManus, and CEO of black tusk, Natalya Sokolova are actually working together. In addition, McManus is the main boss of the Hunter program. He has them working undercover at Black Tusk that even Sokolova doesn’t even know about. Gotta give some credit at least to the writers. Better late than never honestly.
I’m not positive; however, I do THINK they spawn sort of randomly. You just have to be there when it happens (as I was). Sorry it’s not a better answer.
I think anyone who has seen them tryed to kill them but they just run away. I dont think hunters should be in a game anymore, they dont feel like a threat anymore and we never learned who they are or where they came from. There are bunch of theories out there but nothing has been confirmed yet. I know im late to this but i havent played for a long time and now i think i might return to the game. Hunters used to be quite scary encounter in the first game and it happened quite a lot to me but in second game it feels to me that hunters have become that tin can sitting on the sidewalk, totally useless asset. Besides that one in the mission I've never seen one around.
I’m not the most observant person; however, I have noticed they seem to spawn when it’s dark. At Navy Hill, one will spawn on the roof directly across from the Control Point and he’ll stay there a long time....even into the next day during daylight.
@@SirJabalot Yes there are some that spawn at night only in certain locations. When your radar goes fuzzy they are near...usually in a high spot watching over you...
Apparantly you can kill them for unowned masks. Tho either you stun them or just make a one hit KO build to do it. I have the build. Just not the aim or luck to try.

I unloaded a full Scorpio mag into one once, from about 20 ft, with a red build, and he still poofed away.

I don’t remember where I got mine, but I do have a Veil mask that I can wear. Must have been a hunter mission. WONY perhaps? It’s been so long ago.
@SirJabalot if it has a veil it probably was because you did puzzles to kill him. That's a mask I've been wanting to get but I never do hunters anymore. Time consuming and I already have all the DC masks so I'm perfectly fine at the moment

Two cards on the mouth area of the mask; tacky and insulting character design work "detail" as found in Division 2 and the cancelled Heartlands. What next? Hunters or Stalkers vaping while complaining about being a single dad?
It's just so disappointing that there is no proper lore or story around these stalker, and that recruiter.
I sincerely hope that in the upcoming seasons we may get some more details about them.
I mean look at elden ring, i think every character has a background story in that game. And i think it's high time the division characters gets one too .
I haven’t played the division in almost two years and coming back, I found out that the secretary of homeland, McManus, and CEO of black tusk, Natalya Sokolova are actually working together. In addition, McManus is the main boss of the Hunter program. He has them working undercover at Black Tusk that even Sokolova doesn’t even know about. Gotta give some credit at least to the writers. Better late than never honestly.

I’m not positive; however, I do THINK they spawn sort of randomly. You just have to be there when it happens (as I was). Sorry it’s not a better answer.

Stalking your prey is what 90% of real hunting is tho.
There’s hunters u can’t kill them. You could kill them in the past but that was a glitch Ubisoft patched it you can’t kill them no more

I think anyone who has seen them tryed to kill them but they just run away. I dont think hunters should be in a game anymore, they dont feel like a threat anymore and we never learned who they are or where they came from. There are bunch of theories out there but nothing has been confirmed yet. I know im late to this but i havent played for a long time and now i think i might return to the game. Hunters used to be quite scary encounter in the first game and it happened quite a lot to me but in second game it feels to me that hunters have become that tin can sitting on the sidewalk, totally useless asset. Besides that one in the mission I've never seen one around.

How you found them ?
I’m not the most observant person; however, I have noticed they seem to spawn when it’s dark. At Navy Hill, one will spawn on the roof directly across from the Control Point and he’ll stay there a long time....even into the next day during daylight.
@@SirJabalot Yes there are some that spawn at night only in certain locations. When your radar goes fuzzy they are near...usually in a high spot watching over you...

Bud, they ARE Hunters, there are just some that watch you and you can kill them you don't get anything special for doing so.

I've been able to kill these guys on one occasion: Explosive build and mag dumped my grenade launcher. I wonder if a hive/ foam launcher would work?

They just bounce when they’re seen. Not sure if they can actually be killed or not.

Apparantly you can kill them for unowned masks. Tho either you stun them or just make a one hit KO build to do it. I have the build. Just not the aim or luck to try.
