Question: I noticed she talked about chakras. That's not something characteristic of traditional Ecuadorian limpias, right? It has been incorporated recently (how recently)? I'm curious - spiritual cleanses differ around the world but they do share similar traits and there’s (apparently) also a lot of syncretism involved, which is awesome. So I was just wondering how much of what we're seeing is ancient and how much is new. ☺
