It's a Toyota after all and it's DNGA(TNGA) is an advance platform if compared to the other cars in its class. It will definitely sell well for the asking price!
I am driving a VW MQB platform and so much I wanted another car in similar platform but in MPV. At last I found the new Alza with DNGA (TNGA) and I straight booking it without test drive. After it launch I went test drive the new Alza, the low center of gravity and good handling with good comfort had surprised me. Top spec at 75k with so many advance safety features and DNGA platform, great value of money.
Btw the ground clearance is 160mm only and after 6 or 7 person sitting it may goes below 140mm which may scratch the bottom while passing speed bump. I will surely add on spring buffer and hope it give lesser drop in height meanwhile provide a bit firmer ride also better handling.

Selepas sy test alza dan ativa.. Kesimpulan saya boleh kata.. Utk keseronokkan memandu dan nak engine yg power pilih ativa.. Utk family besar dan nak ruang cargo yg luas pilihlah alza.. Ke2 model ni dpt system keselamatan yg sama.. Mane bujang atau anak sorang dua.. Test jugak ativa sebelum buat keputusan.. 😅

Harganya masih jauh lebih murah dari Daihatsu Xenia termahal sekalipun di Indonesia tapi punya fitur yang jauh lebih lengkap seperti Veloz, Luar Biasa. (75K Ringgit setara dengan 250 Juta Rupiah, Xenia termahal harganya 270 Juta setara 80K Ringgit)

u all nak laju2 pun nak pegi mana dooo?? speed limit kat Malaysia ni cuma 110km/h je pun. infact Alza is an mpv which means it was built for family/ family car so relax2 dah la.. tgk apa yang perodua boleh offer.. untuk flagship model boleh dapat 75k dengan technologies yang up to date, i think mmg berbaloi sangat lah untuk B40/M40 dekat Malaysia ni.. masih lagi dalam range affordable dan yang penting kereta perodua punya servis/ maintenance costs pun okay. dan yg penting spare parts sentiasa ada x payah tunggu berbulan/bertahun mcm brand china acah flagship di malaysia tu jual kereta ratus2 ribu last spare parts takde apooooo 🤣❤️
Perodua pun ada mslh spare part jugak cuma still ok biasanya 2-3 bulan dah settle. Kereta myvi ayah sy excident org langgar blkg. Kemek bumper n bonet. Rosak sensor sebelah kanan. SC ckp 3 bulan baru boleh buat. Kereta boleh jalan cuma bonet je la x boleh buka 😂

Memanglah speed limit 110 je. Tapi nak memotong kena ada power yg cukup. 1500cc/106ps dgn body MPV, underpower mcm Aruz, Xpander jugaklah nampaknya.

with 75k+ u get a packed mpv with lots of safety features and so on while the entry level cars of honda and toyota are so kosong and even expensive than alza although they are in diff categories....
Honda city/city hatchback are the worst safety features than Vios and Alza. Not even come with blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert and camera parking system but using only poor resolution lanewatch camera. S spec and even E spec as RM80k for city/city hatchback also come with four airbags and no front fog lamps and using bulb headlights. Honda quality also can’t beat Toyota and Perodua and other brands. Honda design are also declining and City behind like BMW

Provided if blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert and camera parking system are fitted instead of poor resolution lanewatch camera. People are looking forward for blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert and camera parking system and at least six airbags instead of lesser than six airbags and poor resolution lanewatch camera.
@@northgirl9733 currently driving a 2008 myvi ezi and looking to upgrade better car but for me i dont really rely on these features and the lanewatch camera resolution is truly lousy LOL

Overall ok. Budget MPV with a dirt cheap price. If only the test is done with real load i.e 7 people (4 adults 3 kids max) and baggages..then it would be a real test for the vehicle. It ran smooth and sprinted effortlessly since the passenger is only one person. I really would like to know how it performs in real MPV conditions ya know what I mean

Entry level. But acceptable. Some are better in wind noise department and some are better in road and engine noise department. Not comparing to other higher segment MPV tho.
could you let me know what are the differences between this new Alza and the Toyota Veloz ? For example the Veloz has a wireless phone charger in center. Are there more things to consider one over the other besides price and looks ? Also how are the service intervals for this car ?

Bos. How is the NVH & suspension compared to Ativa?
The Alza felt a bit better interm of NVH. And suspension wise both are quite similar, but I think the Alza is a bit more stable due to its body size.

How is Alza 2022 compare with Exora 2019? Although it is different generations but they are still relevant due to the prize. Exora was a C segment but Alza is just a B segment, will Alza still able to overbeat Exora?
In terms of size and cabin space, the Exora still bigger. And power wise the Exora do have a upper hand due to the turbo charge engine compare to a 1.5NA. Last the stability and handling is consider good for a MPV category for Exora. Other than those, refinement, petrol efficiency, advance safety features, specifications etc goes to the new Alza.

Road noise is adequate not the quietest and not the loudest. Handling surprising decent.
Why alza 2022 doesn't build power boot like proton x50 and x70 so that we carry things very hard to open the boot for x50 and x70 is much more easier

Quite loud noise above 75kph. Correct me if wrong.
Wind noise protruding more during high speed and as usual tyre roar will be more as well. Tyre roar can be overcome by changing good tyres.

Why drive slow in alza...I saw you drive more faster when you test exora 2019..
Sometimes it is due to the road conditions and restrictions. So I just follow accordingly. If the condition allow I will do a high speed stability test not meant to drive fast or over speed for the fun purposes.

How does the Alza drive compared to the Ativa? Any major differences?
Ativa is a bit more refine and powerful due to the lighter and turbo charge engine. But somehow I felt this Alza is quite stable at high speed for Perodua standard. And the refinement is just next to Ativa in Perodua lineup.

Both cars are about the same price.🥴
If you are single or does not need a car to fetch a numbers of people. Then Ativa is the choice as it is more fun to drive, more powerful and more refined. If you need to fetch your family or need cargo space then the Alza no doubt.

The latest generation of Toyota Agya and Daihatsu Ayla (Axia in Indonesia) will be present in early 2023 using the DNGA platform. For Perodua Axia it will probably follow one year later

Depends on your taste. Tapi skurang-kurangnya, Veloz dan Xpander juga lebih cantik. Kalau membandingkan antara Veloz, Alza dan Xpander, Veloz dan Alza lebih baik berbanding Xpander, Veloz dan Alza ada 6 airbags, ADAS, blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, guna banyak gears dan full digital meter sebagai Xpander tak ada. Tapi Veloz lebih baik berbanding Alza, Veloz ada extra features seperti ambient lightning, wireless charging, interior lebih premium dan interior space lebih ruang berbanding Alza. Kualiti ada berbeza antara Toyota dan Perodua.

The car sound like very noisy even with speed 80kmh...
Usual sound of wind and road noise. The NVH is OK but not the best. My test drive is with minimal air con air blow to get the most out from the car real NVH. In real like normally the air con won't always in minimal air blow and with some music playing.

If I'm not mistaken, it's around 1170kg not 1735kg. It should be similar/slightly worse to driving a Vios in terms of power.

For the price it offer. Hard plastics are hardly can avoid. But hey at least they looks and feels good. Door closing no problem at all for its segment, not the most solid but good enough.
